Odilop: d coordination number of graphite is 3... Edwin schrondinger. molecular prbital theory says that all d orbitals in d ion or molecul are assume to take part in bonding
pls post calculation questions on d topic-as in bond order, antibonding, bonding stuff.. .Tnks
what is molecular orbital theory, and the scientists who contributed 2 it reign wink and graphite is of what shape?
I needed its calculations but will chip in my 1 cent:
MO theory sees molecular orbitals as a property of constituent atomic orbitals .
Graphite has planar shape.
