I know I might seem selfish and get some sticks for this but.......... I think Messi's new role serves the team much better ; playing deeper, scoring less goals, creating for others, etc. But this new system gives the very selfish guy on the other side the edge to continue to win more and more ballon dors. Especially in a world where the number of tap-ins you score can win you the award. The only guy who can put that guy in his place FOR NOW is the god, no one else for now. So we must sit and enjoy messi sacrifice himself for suarez and the team, and then watch the other guy continue to score his way to more ballon dors and take them to the capital which we all despise. That's the flip side

Don't get it twisted bro, it's not about the trophies won here, because we know those responsible for that. It's about how fit and okay the signings are. Vermaelen was signed while on the treatment table despite his track records of injury, Douglas never played any meaningful match for us(even though he can boast of trophies many outstanding players can only dream of).
Can we really compare those signings to the ones we have now? We have all seen how Digne and Umtiti have slotted in seamlessly into the team as if they are La Masia graduates. We need to give it to the man in charge bro, it has nothing to do with winning trophies.
