People say Ronaldo proved himsself in other leagues thats what make him outstanding.......ok, Ronaldo played as a first team player for the best team in the EPL(Manchester United) in his time, for 6yrs, He won the golden boot ONCE, had ONE hat trick, One world best. is that what u call success??, if being the best player in the world is about performing in various leagues, then Nicholas Anelka, Carlos Tevez, Van nistelrooy, should be considered. Samuel Eto, won the Golden boot in la liga, also won the golden boot in serie A, does that make him the best player ever??, Andrey Shevchencko, Michael Ballack, did not succeed in the EPL does it mean they are not world class players, Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not perform in Barcelona does that mean he's not world class??, Francesco Totti, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, all played for one team althrough their careers, are these not legends??. now Fernando Torres, was great in Liverpool and was a flop in Chelsea, its the same league, Robbie Keane was great in Tottenham but was a flop in Liverpool. my point is, its not about the league, its about the team, I can swear with my life that if CR7 played for Arsenal or Liverpool, he would never have won the Ballon d'or that time, Thierry Henry performed better in the EPL than CR7, but only became a runner up for the ballon d'or twice because Arsenal could not win the champions league. Now for Maradonna and Pele and even Ronaldo delima, how many club titles did they win?, none of them ever won a champions league only world cup, atleast Messi has won a junior wc, reached a wc final, won 3 champions leagues. Its not about trophies, trophies are a teams achievement, its about individual achievements and Messi has lots of that if not more than any other player. Messi is versatile, a goal scorer, a playmaker, he's the best yet. Ronaldo is good I like his hunger, his ambition, but Ronaldo is marketable, he has a price tag, Messi is priceless, Ronaldo is a kind of player that doesnt have a hugh influence on his team. lets look at some players, P.Vieira left Arsenal and it took Arsenal 9 years to lift a throphy again. Luis Suarez left liv'pool, we can all see the aftermath, even sturridge, Paul Scholes was recalled from retirement in Manchester united. these are players with influence in their team. Ronaldo left United and United still won the league about twice and still reached the champions league final. This shows that united didnt even miss him(Ronaldo). Now since Ronaldo got to madrid, madrid has won just a league title in 6yrs, one champions league, 2 copa del rey. my point is Madrid can get rid of Ronaldo anytime without fear, Madrid don't feel Ronalo's abscence as much Barca with Messi's abscence. look at Madrid without Modric, without sergio Ramos, then look at madrid without Ronaldo. then look at Barca without Messi. Barca are scared of losing Messi but Madrid aint scared of losing Ronaldo.
