Real Madrid youth team directors used FC Barcelona for examples
Monday, November 23, two days after the 4-0 humiliation of Real Madrid by FC Barcelona in the Clasico, the new directors of the Real Madrid cantera - Victor Fernandez and Juan Luis Martinez - decided to use the best moments of the Catalans' play as examples to follow for Madrid's youngsters.
As explained in Marca on Thursday, Rafa Benitez was furious when he heard this and even complained to the board, who denied the images existed.
The heads of La Fabrica meet each Monday with the coaches of the youth categories to evaluate all the games played by Madrid's teams. These meeting usually serve to correct errors and make points, but the one on November 23 was not like the rest.
When the coaches arrived, some were stunned to see Barcelona being used as an example, as they believe the reference point must be Real Madrid's first team.
The cantera leaders reproached the attitude of some Madrid players, including Marcels. This was something that surprised the youth football coaches, that apart from praising the stars of FC Barcelona, Real Madrid figures were also criticized.
Given this situation, and the anger of Rafa Benitez over what happened, the Los Blancos board decided to insist to Victor Fernandez he was not to repeat a meeting like this, one where Barcelona served as an example for Real Madrid youngsters. |

Chelseafan1: I honestly want Raumdeuter vs PSG badly, PSG shud give him a tough time or even knock him out. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. You actually think PSG can knock Bayern out? Of course anything is possible as this is football, plus PSG ain't a small club. But frankly, PSG are no match for Bayern. I think PSG will tie Chelsea. |

Appeals Committee upholds Real Madrid's cup disqualification
As even the Bernabéu higher-ups expected, the RFEF's Appeals Committee has dismissed Real Madrid's case against their expulsion from the Copa del Rey for fielding the ineligible Denis Cheryshev against Cádiz.
'Los Blancos' were quick to signal their intention to appeal after the RFEF's Competition Committee judge decided that they should be thrown out of the cup for including Cheryshev in their line-up for their last-32 first leg. To add insult to injury, the Russian, who was banned because of the yellow cards he picked up in the competition for Villarreal last term, opened the scoring at the Estadio Ramón de Carranza, before being substituted at half-time when the club realised its mistake.
Real Madrid are now left pinning their hopes on the Spanish Sports Tribunal (TAD), who will meet and rule on the matter on Friday morning.
The 'Merengues' remain convinced that they have been dealt an injustice, arguing that Cheryshev should not have been deemed ineligible because he was not personally notified of his suspension.
Given their confidence that they will be vindicated, Real Madrid have kept selling tickets for the second leg against Cádiz, which is scheduled to be played next Wednesday, 16th December. Indeed, the fixture was publicised on the screens at the Bernabéu after the 8-0 thrashing of Malmö, in spite of the fact that the RFEF haven't even assigned a referee to the game.
Considering this backdrop, it is unsurprising that the uptake for the match has not been as big as normal, since fans are understandably concerned that it will not go ahead despite the club's bullishness. Hmmm... Tomorrow the final verdict. If I hear say them cancel am! Make we dey see sha... |

The best league in Europe is??
Expo- We judge with the UCL(As usual) Spanish League of course! In Europe you say? I have 3 teams in the round of 16. You have 3 teams also in the round of 16. The difference is, all 3 teams from La Liga qualified as top of their groups. So, La Liga has the edge. No? |

homesteady: Oh my waist! This match was an eyesore, very very horrible. But this is the price we have to pay for rotation.
I'm so so disappointed with Vermaelen and Bartra, especially Vermaelen, he couldn't even put up a decent performance so that he would create more selection headache for Enrique! Mathieu should surely be 2nd choice CB .
That Kaptoum was also very horrible!
How Leverkusen didn't win this match is still a mystery! An eyesore? Me I enjoy the match oooooo. Na comedy.:DD |

Chelseafan1: What do you have to say tonight after Chelsea and Arsenal impressively won their matches with Valencia wey dey flex muscles with Barca crashed out to Europa alongside Sevilla ?? Thumbs up! You guys proved you are rop sides with such crucial wins. I no be like airmark wey no go see truth talk. He said that we should play without the likes of Pique, Mascherano, Alves and co and see if we wouldn't lose like Man Utd did. Abeg, we no play like that? Did we lose? Not to mention the fact that we were very reluctant since we weren't fighting for anything. But seriously, Bayern Leverkusen f up jare. We give them enough opportunities for them to win but them reject am. Ter Stergen no gree sha. |
