Chelseafan1:

lol...u sold 'otu' Fabregas and Pedro to this same team, sell us one of ur prized asset biko, let's see how he's gonna fare, maybe he's gonna win us our first treble
Lol...who no like better thing padi, it will be hard but its not impossible, if actually the club made no profit off winning the UCL due to exorbitant wage bill, why then should they keep 2 world stars in a team once they can cash in on one and reduce wage bill to make more profit, Roberto is coming up, Arda and Vidal will soon be a part of the team, Neymar who is about negotiating a new and improved contract is being coveted by the rich clubs....actually, releasing him, considering these factors, is not totally impossible. Do you know it would be easier for Barça to sell Messi than Neymar? As strange as this might seem, it would. |

Neymar wants to live near Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez
If anyone is worried about Neymar being seduced by the charms of another economic superpower -whether that's Real Madrid, PSG or United- do not worry any more. You can now breathe easy, sit on the couch and watch Barcelona take on Villanovense with all the tranquility in the world because 'Ney' has no intention of going anywhere.
Well, actually that's not true. He wants to move to a new house near his two great friends in the squad: Leo Messi and Luis Suarez. The MSN could further strengthen their ties by sharing their personal lives living very close to each other. The Brazilian striker, who is currently renting in Barcelona, likes the area Gava Mar.
While his father has started negotiations to extend the current contract with the club, although he has two and a half years remaining, Neymar is determined to buy a property, confirming that his intention and desire is to set permanent residence in Barcelona. The Brazilian has taken about two months looking for a place where he can lay his roots, possibly in Gava Mar, which allows him to live close to Leo Messi and Luis Suarez, who are based in Castelldefels.
If someone wanted to break up the MSN, they will be discouraged because the Brazilian wants home ownership, the Argentine recently acquired a second home by his current address and Uruguayan hitman is building a house. Bad news to those Chelsea fans wishing. |

lalaboi: The farther you are from the pitch the more difficult it is to see. So a smaller stadium is usually better for the fans Of course I know a smaller stadium is better for the fans no doubts. But like I stated in my previous post, it also helps if the pitch is big. Now this doesn't equate to full fans' satisfaction like when the stadium is small, but it helps nonetheless. No? |

Chelseafan1: My people I saw this online while reading a Chelsea blog news.
I read that FC barca didn't make a single profit from the UCL they won due to the fact that Messi and Neymar take about 74% of the club finances and hence, one of the duo might leave to balance the wage budget.

Griffon already beat me to it.
I'd prefer Neymar to Messi o, Messi's wage alone na die, plus Neymar is way younger. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Una don dey wish. But seriously, do you actually think Barça would sell Neymar? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by dmcdad: 4:48pm On Dec 02, 2015 |
Griffon: You all need to hire the best economists around lest na total breakdown of MSN i dey see so. No worry... We go dey aiit. If e bad too much, we go collect the new Qatar deal like that. The deal is already a lucrative one (around €65mil per year). I know it wouldn't come to parting ways with one of our stars. Nah... |

Griffon: I've always thought of this and I think it might have a thing to do with old architecture.
Lately, a large number of English sides have ongoing schemes to redevelop existing grounds or to move to newly constructed stadia.
This must be them moving away from the archaic architectural plans. I think you are right. The same way Barça wanna move on from the present structure. We wanna expand ours to 105K sitters. And we also wanna add a roof to help out when it's raining. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by dmcdad: 4:39pm On Dec 02, 2015 |
lalaboi: Making a jump from 40K to 60K is good enough because these new stadiums will be built with the intent to expand in the future. another concern will be the ability to fill 80K just like that when we only filled 44k max in stamford bridge.
Also. why would you need 80k now? if you play football manager well, you will know that you only expand stadium bit by bit when you know for sure that your fan base has grown past its current state and you can attract more viewers to the Stadium.
60K is very logocal.
Have you been to an 80K stadium before tho? those people you see right at the very top cant see zilch. they just pay money for the experience. Barcelona stadium is an example. not everyone will enjoy watching the game. That is just me wondering anywayz. You are right about expanding over the course of time. Sometimes I wonder what it's like watching footie at Camp Nuo where it takes about 99K or up to 100K in matches like the Clasico. I guess one good thing about Camp Nuo though is that it has a very big pitch compared to very many out there. I think that would help in its right to give a better view as opposed to when it's smaller. Don't you think? |

Griffon: Well to the news many wouldn't love to hear/read.
Despite the global attraction and success of Barcelona, who won the treble last season, the finances are in sticky situation and it's been revealed that Enrique's side didn't even make a profit on their Champions League success.
Staggeringly, the wages of the Barcelona squad take up a monumental 74% of the La Liga leaders revenue - with Messi and Neymar being the high-earners.
Whilst there's still plenty to sort, like the sponsorship of the team strip and the Nou Camp itself, the likelihood of either of Barcelona's superstars leaving the club seems more likely and Neymar in particular seems to be in a precarious position as he negotiates a new contract.
Hazard + £40m for Messi wouldn't be a bad bid though. @emboldened, the thunder wey go strike that stadium wey them never build just go register for gym house. Of course we have some financial issues. But then, it wouldn't come to that as we have other means of generating income. We have our shirt sponsorship deal on the pipeline. The reason we are yet to get money from that end is because we are negotiating for a better deal (like the Man Utd deal). There was an agreement before, but Barça are trying to up it to get tue best deal out there. On a second note, our stadium naming could bring about some massive income also. We are really working hard on that too and hopefully soon we will get a hold on a very good deal. So, dream all you want. Neither Messi or Neymar is going anywhere anytime soon. |

Forget the trolling and all, I am not happy at least for the sake of the beautiful game. It's no news they make things interesting when the going is good. I need that competitiveness back. Top clubs need eachother to continue to grow. This is one of the reasons why Barça will never leave La Liga, cause if we do, the League would die. So, I understand his feeling. And I am as concerned as he is. |

Griffon: Yeah. The cathedral of football. I still wonder why they don't build large capacity stadiums in England albeit they have fans that are willing to fill them up. 60K capacity is large especially compared to others amongst other EPL teams. |

He has scored a paltry 9 goals for Madrid in 2015 . And it was also his first away goal for the past 8-9 months . These I think are the qualities of the most expensive player ever! |
