cap28:Mehn bruv... You are absolutely right. I have certain traits which are reminiscent of the good old days. I do some old-fashioned stuffs sometimes (when I am in a relationship) because they really bring about uniqueness in relationships. I just wish a vast majority of the Nigerian population (especially the womenfolks) will have my kinda mindset. I am not a saint, neither am I righteous. But one thing is certain, I have and maintain a very good moral standard. My main concern is on our young ladies od today. No one should get this twisted. I am not insinuating men are spotless and all-holy. On the contrary, they are not. But my concerned beckons on the fact that women own the home. As a man is the head of a family, so a woman is the head of the home. If the man is the head, then the woman is the neck. Their influence can never be overemphasized. But then, there is a question that lingers in this contemporary world we live in... How many of these ladies have what it takes to make a home? One should take cognizance of the fact that how the children will turn out to be eventually (especially in terms of behaviours and/or character) depends heavily on how the woman responds to the child's upbringing. Can one give what one doesn't have? How will a woman whose moral standard is at the lowest ebb train a child to be morally upright? I weep for the children yet to come. This present generation of mothers have absolutely nothing to offer. Of course I don't mean all women or ladies out there. But frankly, a vast majority of em have nothing to write home about. |

Filashade:My dear, I won't blame you, for real. I posted in a thread sometime ago in relation to this, and I will state it here also. I believe so much in love. Infact, like I always say; I love LOVE. ![]() ![]() It's funny I know, but that's the reality with me.I run away from relationships like plagues. Not because I am not capable of loving or be loved. But then, for what shall it profit Mcdad to go into a relationship with someone he knows he is not gonna get married to. Or to put this in a little more perspective, someone I know I won't like to get married to. Now, I am not saying one has to get married to anyone he/she goes into a relationship with. Heck, even people that are engaged sometimes part ways, let alone... But the reality of the matter is, many a people don't even know why they go into a relationship in the first place. Infact, it might beat your imagination to know that, very many people out there don't know the essence for going into a union like marriage. A lot married today, especially the newly weds are just basking in the euphoria of the moment but fail to understand the rudiments of that union. Little wonder divorce is the order of the day today. I knew of a couple that got wedded and after a paltry 3 months, they were already done with their marriage, 'divorce.' To burst someone's bubble, a couple wedded in the morning, and by evening of the same day they were already making inquiries for divorce. ![]() It is there you will fear.![]() I would have encouraged you (and also myself) to look beyond the seemingly things that are quickly becoming the norm, but to hope for someone that is meant for you and you alone. But then, each time one wanna encourage himself with such thoughts, there comes another story or experience that tends to truncate it. At this juncture, I would say to you what I always say to myself; wait for it, it will surely come. It has come to a stage whereby it's difficult for one to fall in love. This is not supposed to be so. I would advise that we keep encouraging ourselves to believing that we are gonna be lucky. All the best my dear. |

coded01:The dude is absolutely right! Given, not everyone of them are bad, but my padi, I fear our women die! Walai, like we discussed some days ago, this is one of my greatest fears in getting married. I have not only heard about this, but I've seen with my own eyes where it happened. Bro, after God na women I dey fear pass. Those set of creatures deadly die walai. And me for one, what I detest most and what I am most afraid of in the union called marriage is promiscuity. The thing about me is that, if I am having something in common with a girl, say we are dating and she is acting up (playing), I would definitely know. It's a gift a have, but sometimes I wonder if it's a blessing or a curse because I always know when something ain't right. But there are times you would wish not to know. Like I always say, both parties (men and women) are guilty of promiscuity. Men cheat alot, and I would say maybe somewhat more than women. But honestly, women are far more dangerous with theirs. They go to lengths you can hardly live with. They go to such an unreasonable extent that would astonish you. The most a man would do is impregnate a woman outside his home. I am mot saying this is alright, but in almost all cases he comes out with the truth about it. Women on the other hand don't just involve in promiscuous acts, but go as far as deceiving a man to believing a child is his whereas the reverse is the case. Can you beat that? Someone should tell me what is worse than that. A priest-friend of mine shared an experience sometime ago and it goes thus; there was a family where the man is already aging (should be in his 50s). He's got 3 children. One was a medical personnel, the other a lawyer and the third one was still very young (in secondary school). The medical doc was meant to travel outside the country and one thing led to another, he was asked for his father. And in such an instance, a DNA test was required to really verify the man was his father. Bros, lo and behold, after the test it was confirmed the man wasn't the father of the medical doc guy. Outta curiosity, he called for his second son for the same test ro be carried, and it follow thus that the second guy too wasn't his son. It was just the last one still in secondary school that was the man's only real child. Guy, when I hear this matter, goose bumps wan finish me. As in ehn, afraid catch me like say tomorrow no dey. This story no be say them-say them-say. I know the family well. Aside this, I don hear of many of this kind story too. I don see many others too. Sometimes I wonder if I would be able to summon courage to trust one woman again. I am not saying this because of just this occurrence. I am saying this because of what this world has metamorphosed into in terms of what people do (and are willing to do) in marriages. People no longer have the fear of God. We now live in a world where moral-decadence is the order of the day. A world where no one wants to care about the rightness of things, but how to satisfy their selfish and alterior motives. A world where good ethics mean nothing to the average human out there. A world where people indulge in things that are contra-bonos-mores and have no form of remorse for it. Someone out there might wonder why I fear so much for such. It's simple. I am not a party to divorce. It's just against my person. The more reason why I get scared whenever I think of possibilities like this. I sometimes ruminate; what if such should happen to you, what would you do? Taking into consideration I am not a party to divorce. It's really hard to figure out. God help us bro. |
coded01:Who be this one na? You no get human sympathy ni? Haba! You go heartless oooooo. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Vyolet:The number of pages reach make I just close the thread sef. You try abeg. No be beans. So, what is your verdict from what you have gathered thus far? |
cherryice:Lady, that's not the point. Like I stated from the get go, your view doesn't seem neutral to me, no offense. I've been following this thread since it was created and I have seen lots of neutral posts as well as lots of posts taking either side of the peeps involved. I guess you don't know much about fraud or scam as you might wanna call it. If you have followed this thread well enough, and you have experience or the know-how of some of these fraudulent activities, coupled with the reactions of the so-called offender, then it would be as easy as pie to know the entire story. Now, I never said you should take a side. Heck, I never took any myself. Yet, the obvious thing about this saga is that, we all can tell what had transpired between them prior to this shenanigans. Taking all the above into consideration, plus the kinda post you made earlier-on made me conclude that you were far from being neutral. My opinion though. PS: You might really be neutral with your feelings as regards this, but I tell you this, your earlier posts negate that. Like I stated from the outset; it's just my observation. No hard feelings. |
Vyolet:Hmmm... Interesting. You get patience sha. |
cherryice:Fair enough. The reality is obvious though. |
cherryice:Really? You don't seem neutral to me. Just an observation though. |

Gamesmart:Guy you badt gan... You sef know how e dey go.![]() |
Gamesmart:Seriously, the guy is good, but he ain't as smart as i expected. He should take a chill pill and try to solve this amicably. Before he got into the game, some people had done so and saw that it doesn't pay and they took a bow out. So he shouldn't think we all are fools. I no just wan involve for the matter cause e no concern me. But I know as e dey go oooooo. |
nonsoroyalty:E no good ooooooo. |
