mcdreeezy: We should try to finish this game off today. We have a good chance in this first leg with PSG missing some key players. We will definitely do the needful. I think we are better of now than we were when we last met. Our trio up front sync with eachother perfectly, and that will be key. |

barackohandso: True. The coach is in charge and I don't support Neymar's gesture when he was taken off against Sevilla but then again he's human and allowed to be emotional too
On another note, I'm sure you know there are player power in every team, whether or not the player shows it. The coach can't continue to remove important players in a match like the weekend's, especially a player enjoying himself on the pitch, and not expect a media/fan backlash. Especially given the fact that we dropped points in the end. Exactly. Plus, Neymar is the second-in-command so-to-say after Lionel Messi. Taking him off every now and then doesn't translate and won't translate good vibes from him. I don't and won't support such gestures from Ney. But then, the coach is not helping matters. And like you rightly stated, he is allowed to be emotional about it too. Moreover, prior to last weekend's match against Sebilla, there has been recent publications from many media houses about Neymar being substituted on too many occasions. |

barackohandso: “My stats haven’t been good this season, far from it, but I’ve never looked at my game purely in terms of statistics. I’m still happy with what I’ve done.”
- Andres Iniesta It's true that his game doesn't depend on stats, but if we are gonna call a spade by its name, we would agree that he hasn't been great this season, as compared to other seasons. Despite not playing at his preferred role due to Lucho's tactics, yet, that is not entirely a justifiable reason for his very poor stat. |

Johnpaul88: Neymar's petulancy shouldn't be encouraged. It undermines a coach If the coach decides to sit his asss on the bench, then I'm sure he asked for it. As a leader, the least you would want is people you are leading publicly undermining your authority. Whatever his reasons are, he must respect the wishes of the coach. He's employed to make these decisions Of course I know that. Let's just be fair and frank, he has been substituted more than one could ever imagine. And for a player of his calibre, it doesn't help his confidence. He has been substituted 15 times this season during the 34 games he started. Now the worse is that, in the league, he had played 26 times, and of those 26 times, he was left to play the full 90 minutes in 13 of those times (50%). For a player of his standard, you would agree that it's very poor, way much more than you could imagine. Anywayz, I never liked the idea of him protesting or making gestures. But he had been the victim for far too many times. |

We have similar fixtures, bar Atletico and Sociedad. Sociedad would play the game away to us. That would be an advantage to us. Plus, their form ain't great. We will fight it out against Atletico and hopefully defeat them at the Calderon.

ddippset: haba honeric, lol. It's clear to point out the error of bravo for the first goal and the error of pique for the second. Now answer me this : can you point a finger on any sevilla player for Messi's goal or for neymar's free kick? Of course not. Now understand it this way; we are not berating the team for drawing with Sevilla. I personally expected us to lose or draw at sevilla's home. If it had ended 0-0 fine. If we were leading 1 - 0 and they came back to equalize 1-1 fine. Even if they had beaten us 1-0 or 2-0 from the onset fine. But if you are a real madrid or a bayern Munich or a Chelsea or a Barcelona, and any team comes back on you from 2-0 down and you lose points in the process, then my brother questions have to be asked. For me the problem wasn't drawing or even losing the game, it was giving up a 2-0 advantage. I tell you most of us could have felt better with sevilla 1 Barcelona 0, than what happened last night. It was like seeing your ecstasy turn to sadness in minute. Spot on bruv... I couldn't have said it any better. |

honeric01: Some of una funny I swear.. so because you support Barcelona, it automatically means all other clubs are bad? hmmm common sense share....too expensive..
We are talking form here, you are talking names...
have you watched any of the last 8 games sevilla played?
If they weren't potent enough to cause our defense hell, would those mistakes come to life?
the way some of you disrespect your opponent is what is actually causing all these. until 90 mins, do not give a walkover to your club especially a team looking to get the UCL ticket. Well... I get your point that, even if we are 10 goals up, its allowed for our opponents to do a come-back, and ultimately win the match. I never said Sevilla were gonna be a walk in the park. But c'mon, lets be more reasonable abeg. How would a club like Barca go 2 goals up against a club like Sevilla (with all due respect to them), and ended up drawing the match? It's never good, and whether you argue from now till eternity, we messed up. Plus, the coach killed everything. I ain't even much critical about Pique who made the error for the second goal. To be frank, the coach saw it coming but didn't act pronto. You wonder why Mascherano and Bartra were warming up? Yet, he didn't feed them in. Like I stated on here when he took Ney off (someone who was well rested, and the best attacker for the night), I said that was a wrong sub man. And after the sub, when things moved from bad to worse, I thought to myself "you saw this coming man ". Did you notice how their fullbacks had the license to come forward after Neymar's sub? No need crying over spilt milk, for the deed has been done. But Enrique needs to get his act together henceforth. There is no margin for error at this juncture. |

ddippset: from their mistakes? No Sir, we didn't score from their mistakes, they did from ours! Neymar and Messi scored 2 world class goals. We just blew the title race wide open again. Sevilla will host madrid. We will all see madrid collect their 3 points. Then our eyes go clear. Am beginning to fear. Dejavu ? Are we going to lose out at the finish line again? Like last season? Imagine mentality... So we and Sevilla don be mate abi? Is he trying to say because they made mistakes (which they didnt), so we too were bound to make ours? So, with the calibre of players we have, such silly mistakes are welcomed? Issorai. Na wa for people sha. |

sebod: I was unable to watch the match, but trust me to follow it live via my phone. Immediately I read Ney was pulled off for Xavi, I asked why and what for? We were leading then and the coach wanted to have more control in the midfield, an idea that was very okay. But to have traded the much lively attack for the needed control was the error not forgetting that their active defence had to be pushed back. @JP, at this juncture, hardly would you see any cule criticising Lucho these days since he had maintained balance in the team. But to say he didn't make mistake last night is not acceptable even after he himself had admitted he made one. We are human and as such are liable to error at one point or the other. He made one last night and the team paid for it. No one said we will never drop points, but you will agree with me that dropping points as that of last night could be costly at the end of the season. Gbam! |
