mcdreeezy: Sarcasm ke, no oh. I meant since he's not included in the squad for today's match and our next two matches are away games, he might likely make his debut in an away match..hehe
Ohh okay. I thought you were being sarcastic on how Enrique has been using the away games as testing ground for his rotation...

barackohandso: Oh I saw it, all of it and I'd advise you guys don't read much meaning into a post match analysis against Malaga, especially seeing that we didn't get the required result. To see him improve would be a joy for all barca fans, but not until. Or are you guys waiting till we get trumped upon again before you know he isn't very solid?
Guy, I didn't read the said analysis even. I watched the match. Why would I need some match analysis when I watched a match live (albeit on TV).

Abeg give credit to whom its due. Leave all this hating abeg. If he does things right, praise him. Why always criticise without commending when its time for that? I love criticism, but I also love commendation. And frankly, commendation is what you lack.

My point? I believe it's okay and just to criticise when a player is below par, and I also believe it's likewise okay and just to commend a play when he is doing great. As much as I criticise Piqué, I never fail to acknowledge his work rate if he plays great.

Abeg, no hating. This is becoming absurd to say the least.

You can say this one million times. I can bet with you that they will still have something to argue about. They actually know the truth(fact) but wouldn't just admit it openly. I will start thinking of the guy maybe when the world start comparing him with the greats(pele and co)!
Abi... All the while Messi has been getting comparisons with Pelé and Maradona mostly, but no one has ever compared Ronaldo to these greats. That speaks alot bruv. But these kids ain't got good sense of reasoning to understand it that way.

coded01: Messi is the world's greatest football player ever! cool

Who drives 9-10 players including goal keeper to himself alone? shocked grin

Baba ni yen! cheesy
Mehn, I am sometimes seriously pissed with the comparisons and all. No doubt, Ronaldo is a great player and I can't take that away from him. But comparing him with Messi? Since I have been watching football, I have not seen any player that is man-marked and zone-marked as Messi (infact, the football world needs to invemt some better marking strategies to express or describe how Messi is marked). Teams change their entire strategy just because of this guy.

Abeg, who don watch match wey two people mark Ronaldo? Whereas to say that two players mark Messi would be an understatement. He always got like 3 or more markers on him. I swear! If Ronaldo is marked half as Messi is always marked day-in-day-out, his goals would be only penalties and nothing more.

Messi is in a league of his own. No one can be like Baba. No hating, but Ronaldo is far from Messi albeit he is a great and classy player himself. And if not for Messi, he would be the undisputed champion.

ddippset: lol, of course you can always doubt words of the mouth like this messi's case. but how do you doubt seeing before your very eyes; ronaldo kicking gabi in the face, ronaldo addressing a press conference to say he is not happy at madrid, how do you doubt ronaldo snubbing a 4 yr old girl on international tv because she's wearing a barca jersey? how do you doubt ronaldo reacting angrily to benzema for not passing him the ball and on international tv? how do you doubt ronaldo saying it himself that his portugal teammates are average players? how do you doubt ronaldo diving and rolling on the floor to get rooney sent off in a world cup quarter final and also to get chellini sent off in a champions league game ?my brother there are things you just cannot doubt.
And not to mention how he sent James Rodriguez out of training probably because he wasn't Di Maria.sad

Hunty: That's it bro. Its all about your self esteem which most people lack.
This girl I'm talking about happens to be prettier than her friends. Why on earth will she allow them decide for her. I'm not sure they are the ones behind her indecision though
Her case is serious... She needs orientation.

Of course I agree... But not so much for being the benchmark for defence. You know that was grossly exaggerated. I guess you never knew we had such impressive defensive record all along. The problem there is that, anything Barca (especially negative things) is always blown outta proportion.

Can you remember that last season, it was Barca that was all over the news with how we concede lots of goals blah blah blah...? Did you ever hear anyone complain about Madrid for instance? Nope! Even though we conceded 5 goals less than Madrid last season, no one ever complained of them. How about this season? They've played 8 matches (including the Spanish Supercup) in all competitions this season with just a clean sheet. Conceded 9 goals already in the league(in 5 matches). Have you heard anyone complaining? Imagine what would have been said if it were Barca...

Romance › Re: Why Do Some Girls Let Their Friends Decide Their Love Life For Them? by dmcdad: 1:09pm On Sep 25, 2014
AfricanApple: u are right but come to think of if these women are allowing their friends to decide for them, who is deciding for the one deciding. or is it a case of I decide for u and u decide for me?
In most cases, the one deciding for the other ain't got direction herself. It's like a blind fellow leading another blind fellow. In some cases they do so for eachother, and in other cases the one who happens to be the instigator gets inspiration from elsewhere.

The thing is, such ladies are susceptible to external influences. There are people who would stick to what they believe or what they think is right or rather what they want rather than what others want for them. Like I would say as always, I don't believe in these sayings; "your environment determines who you are" or "your friends determines who you are" or rather "show me your friend and I will tell you who you are" Now, to some extent these statements are true, but ultimately they don't actually determine who we should be. We choose to be who will wanna be. Unless, that person is not strong willed. And that is where these set of ladies fall under. If you don't have a mind of your own, you will always yield to the mind of others and/or conventional things.

Take for instance, the world (a vast majority of people) believe that men are meant to cheat, and would tend to back it up or justify it with one thing or another. But as a person, I say that is wrong. There is no need to go into details on that. I just had to prove that irrespective of what everyone else thinks, I have my view towards whatever that comes to the fore and I hold strongly to what I believe.

I have very close friends today who are womanisers, love partying(lau lau), go clubbing et al. Yet, these are things I don't even imagine myself doing. (I ain't saying i am a saint here, its just my way of life. Besides, i am a melancholy and as such dont have time for much outdoor activities.) This doesn't mean they don't scold me in their own way every now and then. And of course, if I were someone else then I would have given up on my way of living for theirs.

Now, anyone that would allow itself to be influenced by friends as against their will, then that person doesn't have a mind of its own and if pressured by friends, would allow their friends to decide for them rather than they deciding for themselves.

This is sad, and the sadder thing is, this is very common with lots of people(especially the ladies when it comes to the matters of the heart). If only they would know what they actually want, and stick by it irrespective of the pressures from friends...sad

AfricanApple: this is what they call generalization. its only a Lady who is confused and cannot see where her path leads that will let friends decide her love life for her
Yeah exactly! The sad thing there is, we have a larger population who fall for this compared to the ones who don't.

Romance › Re: Difference Between Shyness And Introversion. by dmcdad: 11:02am On Sep 25, 2014
Despite their affinity, there is a vast difference between the two, and often times people tend to mistake one for another.

Introversion is natural and does not come and go every now and then. Shyness is a state. And that is why, you can be as bold as a Lion and yet certain occurrences or situations will make you shy (at least at that juncture). You can be shy today, and by tomorrow you have worked on your shyness and become a bold and courageous person. This cannot be said of an introvert (a melancholy). An introvert remains an introvert come what may. Now, he may exhibit certain characters or traits that tends to lean towards extroversion. Yet, it should be noted that temperaments don't change albeit it can be worked upon to be better.

Many introverts happen to be somewhat shy poeple to say the least. Their shyness comes as a result of them living in a world of their own. Being in a shell all the time. But then, if and when they choose to come outside of that shell of theirs, then you would know first hand that their shyness is as a result of their introverted nature, and can be controlled to a great degree if they deem it necessary. I am a typical example of this. I am somewhat shy (as a melancholy) but if I choose to come out of my shell, then everything I would do at that juncture would ooze boldness, confidence, courage and over-intelligence.

So you can be shy and not be an introvert. My immediate elder brother is a pure choleric (extrovert), but overly shy. And I know of many introverts who are never shy. Therefore, shyness is not equal to introversion and vice-versa. Nevertheless, it's easier for an introvert to exude shyness than an extrovert.
