A video circulating online has captured the moment an ambulance struck an individual during the 11th edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon on Saturday.

The video, shared on X by a user identified as #Mrolaoluwa, showed runners moving along a city road before an ambulance approached from behind and appeared to hit someone along the route.

The user who posted the clip wrote, “ I hope that guy that ambulance just hit at the Lagos City Marathon now, is safe.”

As of the time of filing this report, authorities had not issued an official statement confirming details of the incident. The identity of the individual and condition were yet to be ascertained, and it remained unclear whether the person struck was a race participant or a bystander.

The marathon began earlier in the day, with athletes and recreational runners taking part across major routes in Lagos.

On thing this Sophie Momodu must note is that all these fight will be useless once Imade hit age of 18. She will leave for uni and become independent and free to associate with whoever she wants. She might tend more towards Davido leaving her as a mum in avoidable bitterness and emptiness of heart. By then she would know realise the wisdom of what Tonto Dike did.

She should reconcile immediately and have a peaceful co-parenting that will put Imade, Davido and herself in a win-win situation in both short and long term. Life is short and should be enjoyed.
