Baiysam: No setup for like two weeks hopefully this week there will food for me from the market I admire your patience. The ability to stay disciplined and wait for days/weeks just for that A+ setup, rather than forcing your idea on the markets or being 'trigger happy'; although, being a swing trader may help with the waiting process. |

yummy001: What type of trader are you bro and what strategy do you trade?
Because of the 2 weeks break from the market, I am assuming you are not an intraday trader because 99% of them think they must trade everyday irrespective of the market conditions.. I used to have this perception, looking for positive setups to trade where there was none. Forcing my bias on the markets. Na so accounts take blow. I've acknowledged the error of my ways, & have come back to the markets with a new perspective. |

yummy001: An A+ set-up is unique to every trader who has found their edge in the market because our trading strategies are not the same.. It simply means a high probability set-up that aligns with the strategy of the trader..
For example, I trade a multi-time frame or top down analytical methodology whereby all the 4 timeframes(monthly, weekly, daily and 4hr) that I use for my analysis must be aligning before considering them for execution.
Aside that, the market must be trending on the higher timeframes.. For a trade to qualify as an A+ set-up, it must retrace to the golden zone [50-61.8]of the Fibonacci Retracement tool most times on the daily or 4hr timeframes for me to take a safe buy or sell and continue riding the trend instead of placing orders haphazardly..
Another A+ set-up is trading a Head n Shoulder pattern or its inverted equivalent on the weekly or daily timeframes that has played out for a while and has now retraced from a significant support/resistance zone to retest the neckline before heading back to its original direction.
Another major A+set-up for me is a trade that has formed a clear trendline on the daily or weekly timeframes and is about to make its third touch before shooting to the moon.
And once in a while, it might just be a confluence of some or all of these factors to make the trade an A++.. The more the confluence of factors, the higher the quality of the trade.
Unless our style of trading is the same, you won't be able to relate to my A+set-ups.. Thank you for the detail in your response. I actually got value out of it. Although I trade using ICT concepts, I truly appreciate your answer. |

yummy001: Please endeavour to continue the documentation of your journey on this new account too.. You are really motivating me. I also have a 20k account Maven account.. I am yet to place my first trade since I got it 3 weeks ago.. I am still waiting for my A+ set-ups to materialise as a swing trader..
Keep up the great work brother! Bro, do you mind explaining your A+ setup? |

Baiysam: I will dropping hints on how I go about blowing multiple accounts to passing and requesting payouts I'm so interested in this bro. I've blown like 4 accounts by hitting max drawdown, & another one by hitting max daily drawdown. But here you are, passing an account in pretty much 3 trading sessions. I've learnt from the error of my ways. Regardless, cut soap for us, bro. |

Baiysam: My phone was about dying I think about 15%.
Something just pushed me to open USDJPY
Viola!!! My A+ setup after about 3 weeks no setup I love how you're disciplined enough to patiently wait for an A+ setup, even if weeks went by. I also notice that you tend to spam multiple trades on the A+ setup...which pay out. It's inspiring, really. Do you mind explaining your A+ setup, especially how you actually execute multiple trades within seconds. Max daily drawdown should be is 4%, but you confidently placed 5 trades here of 0.5% each = 2.5% risk in total. Do you place the trades first & add SL later? How you dey run am? |

Baiysam: CADCHF probably didn't know I was watching her...I was quietly watching her like a thief till it materialize If I understand you right...you basically waited patiently for your A+ setup to play out, then you took 4 trades of 0.5% equity each (within seconds)? That's risking 2% on the trade. Why split it into 4 trades, rather than just 1 trade? |

Baiysam: I wanted to run mad inside camp with excitement. My friend was just asking what happened I said" you cannot understand" I understand the excitement bro. It's what many aspire to achieve, myself included. Thanks for this post. It's given me the conviction to proceed with maven trading prop firm. Was a bit sceptical about them being able to successfully payout when due. You've given me hope. |
