No doubt the ruling was good and the intent was good but I am surprise that people that suppose to talk kept mum and those that talked gaslighted and behave as if nothing happened.
I was surprised that the supreme court have Turned themselves to lawmakers and no more interpreter of laws. Ruling that the allocation of the local government council should be sent to them directly is totally anti constitution because know where in the constitution that prescribed that. The allocation to the local government and state are to be disbursed to the state joint local government account section 162 subsection 6 very explicit.
I know Nigeria is a constitutional country and ruling should be based on the existing laws and not back door ruling as done in this ruling of local government administration finance.
I read that the Adamawa state governor has gone to supreme court for the interpretation of section 162. I will keep tab to hear from them.
