Got my Visa today

It actually came out on friday last week but dhl brought it today.

It was priority but laster 15 working days on the dot, yet letter says Visa was approved on 27th August.

I did interview on 19th August.

PLEASE I NEED RESPONSE AND GUIDANCE!!!

I paid for PRIORITY SERVICE and have done my Biometrics in Ikeja Lagos on 19TH AUGUST 2019.

Its already 10 WORKING days today and i have not received any news or email.

My application still says its with the DMC.

Please what should i do?

Is it normal for a PRIORITY visa application that should be processed in 5 days to take 10 working days and yet nothing has happened?

Please HELP?

This arrangement doesn't make sense at all. This is CBN and Heritage yet all they could do is pack people in hostels, open to mosquito with dirty bathroom and toilet... Food be like children's cooking play food... Men would carry plate and spoon like prisoners. Begging for buckets as though in school. Its not just encouraging. Idealy, CBN has branches in every state capital, each branch has training hall... Why not send people for training at the state capital where they are. Pay them 3k perday hotel allowance for the 4 days which is 12k... Is it too much to pay to Nigerian youth? But if it were to go abroad for treatment, govt will spend millions and billions. They no just try... Simple

Well, the fact is that I'm no longer where I used to be. I've been growing from strength to strength ever since I got the award and the way I view life has changed since then. My exposure has been something else. My present job is as a result of the award and my education have also been improved.

In terms of government fulfilling it's promises as regards to the award is so far ok. Just that there are few people along the way who will try to hinder the promises since their relatives are not among. Apart form these few elements and the challenges they are bringing up, everything about the award has been fulfilled.

As for my future plans, after the completion of my phd, I want to be an academic.

My brother, you should bad-mouth the presidential award becos from your answer below, u didn't even qualify for the presidential award. Its only the 1st and 2nd in each state award tht are forwarded for presidential award. So if u were 4th, you were neva nominated for presidential award. Forget what your fellow corps members tols u or the invitation u turned down or the class of degree, because some who are selected this year are even HND holders, not degree. So let's just be objective. Tht u were not seected doesn't make it a politicized award. Thanks... Hope usee it differently sir.

I took 4th position, and then, a lot of corp members commented that d selection criteria wasn't based on merit if not I supposed to take first position. I was invited after my service yr to train corps members on camp but I refused to go just because of their selection process that wasnt in favour of m. last yr, I heard that, class of degree should be included in presidential award selection process and I was grateful to God because I am a graduate of chemical engineering with second class upper division. with all these facts , I can boldly say that NYSC award isn't base on merit.

Below are details about my personal community development projects carried out during my service year. After the service year, the osun state NYSC invited me to train corp members on camp but it was unfortunate that I was not alright as at that period. Recently, there re comments on nairaland that NYSC has contacted the winners for the presidential award based on merit. If really the award is strictly on merit, I think I shouldn't be left behind. Here are the outline of the projects carried out.

PROJECTS contacted -OUT:
[1]. COMMUNITY YOUTH'S SKILL TRAINING IN IRESI AND OTAN-AYEGBAJU COMMUNITY ON:
(a) ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS TRAINING.
(b) PRODUCTION AND PACKING OF:
I. LUBRICATING GREASE,
II. AFTER SHAVE,
III. LIQUID DETERGENT,
IV. INSECTICIDE,
V. BLEACH,
VI. TOILET SOAP,
VII. POWDER DETERGENT.

(C) PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION TO TWENTY FIVE TRAINEES.

(d) PRESENTATION OF CHEMICALS AND EQUIPMENT TO TEN (10) BEST TRAINEES TO ENABLE THEM START-UP THE BUSINESS.

I feel ur point of view. Anyway the last award was 17 January 2012. , I am not here to vindicate the govt from any nepotism, but my point is that, they ve some criteria. Someone has said it b4 here, u may do a nice project but the location counts (interior villages are given preference), the number of projects counts too, how the project directly affects the life of a common villager in that village. My brother, from my experience, after all the building of any project, one has to back it up with one or 2 seminar or entrepreneural empowerment project, these neglected side is the bomb in the selection criteria.
As for selection, even more than 2 can come from a state so long as their project merit it... Its on merit

Okay, let's say I believe u... Okay wat can u say about wat is happening now, d last award done was in 2010, so now they are combining like 8 or 9 batches together, and from wat I heard, 2 people are not selected from a state. If u are goin to combine 9 batches then I don't think dats fair


1 guy built a clinic and supplied d clinic with medication, in a small town in Ekiti wer sponsors are not easy to come by and he wasn't honored, another built a corpers lodge, I am not sure he was selected sef Bro, left to me, anytin FG isn't worth believing... Youwin, Sure P name it

The award is hopeful next week. If not next week... Then its next year january... I was also selected... At least we already ve hotel addresses... They just need to get the president's consent and forward msgs again... So hopefully we should be expecting the msg this sunday or monday... If not, it should be January... So help us God

Bros, if one has been selected on merit in the state award, it simply means tht all the presidential award nominees all merit the national award, but the national has a different standard to selct merit out of the merits. So the award of presidential is purely on merit. I talk from experience

, now, It is a scam... It is not on merit... State awards are still on merit, but FG mba!!!

The award is puely honorary. I must tell u. I am a testimony to that. Don't label it scam because some common people I knw ve won the said award.
