Politics › Opinion: Election And Protest In The North Versus South by donestk(op): 3:05pm On Aug 05, 2024 |
In 2015, election in the South was about good governance after APC promised Nigerians heaven on earth WHILE in the North, 2015 election was about removing a southerner and installing their own.
Now this current protest, to the southerners, it's about BAT reversing his anti-people policies that have caused unbearable hunger WHILE in the north, the protest is about regime change

You've said it all. I suspected the Russians after quickly denying involvement in providing materials and support. juliuscaesar: The Russians are tye one agitating for this. The protest have been hijacked. The Russians are pretty much in control of Niger republic. The country with one of the most natural deposits of Uranium. Their next goal is the capture the country closest to it ( Nigeria), with the most on ground foot soldiers in Africa and a population of over 200 million. Nigeria is also a strategic ally of the Western nations. If thr military takes over, Russia will unofficially provide military support like they have done in Niger, Burkina Faso etc.
Tinubu has to act fast and with wisdom. |

There's a bigger picture.
Growing Russian influence in the continent. Dismantling Western-allied government through uprisings. |

No it's not. Something is cooking. Don't forget Russian military units are being hosted in Chad and Niger, both our immediate neighbors. Expansion is the keyword here. Deeznutz4lyf: This is a pure show of illiteracy and ignorance from these people |

Geopolitics is a very dirty game.
There's a growing Russian influence in Africa. Dismantling Western-allied governments through uprising.
B/Faso, Niger, Chad, South Africa etc are aligned to Moscow. Don't forget that the aforementioned countries are neighbors (except SA) with northern Nigeria.
Truth is that Moscow might be lusting after Nigeria. |

Oga you don't understand geopolitics. helinues: Nothing to be worried about. What's the business of Russia with Nigeria protest?
Would Russia leave their worries and be attending to Nigeria worries? Hell No
Illiteracy is what made some Northerners tp be raising Russia flags.
The Iran, Palestine flags they have been raising for decades, have any of them come to Nigeria to help them most especially the Shiite group in North |

If you understand geopolitics, then you'll know why it's worrisome. The message is clear: the people want a switch of loyalty to the East by dismantling the Western-led structures. |

Response inequality.
The response would have been different if it were Nigeria's south. But for the north, it means nothing. |

Politics › Predictive Analytics Of The Upcoming Protest by donestk(op): 10:31am On Jul 25, 2024 |
As we all know, August 1st is slated for the nationwide protest of anti-people policies.
Here are my predictions?
1. Breakdown of law and order. The NPF has an active force of 371,800 officers. For a population of 220m people, Nigeria has less than 500k strong personnel.
2. Massive looting of shops and warehouses of innocent Nigerians.
3. Global sympathy of the masses due to social media reporting of gross human rights violations.

[Opinion]
Unlike the not too distant past, these days it's quite difficult to spot cute gals cuz of hardship in Nigeria which has taken toil on nutrition and cosmetics.
Making a decent hair costs so much. Basic cosmetics are no longer affordable. Most importantly, staple foods are now luxury.
Unfortunately most men can't keep side chics anymore due to lack of 'capital'.
Government anti-people policies have drastically changed the looks of our once pretty looking female population.
God help us. |

What about the high cost of every other thing? being: not entirely.. the primary cause of food hyper inflation is scarcity as a result of fulani herdsmen sacking farmers from the farms |

Slight reduction in energy costs will be the game changer.
Reduced petrol prices will translate to reduced cost of transportation of goods from bad roads of rurals to urban centers. |

Can you outline those policies please Isaacc729l: FG needs to implement effective policies that reduce the cost of living in order to improve the economy and make Nigeria a better place. |

1. Reduce electricity tariff. 2. Reduce fuel pump price
If these can be implemented now, things will improve in the next 3 to 6 months.
Labour should direct their industrial action to this strategy rather than minimum wage which will be gulped by energy bills.
