Lol... Another classical example of a man pointing a finger at someone else while forgetting that four of his point at himself. . . No man is an island, Mr. Omokri. Quality of advise instead of advice. |

Hello everyone, Those dudes are not worth the wait! They're a bunch of clowns hoping to pounce on unsuspecting applicants. I shot them an email using an anonymous email address, and the response I got made me laugh out loud, really. It was a lengthy and well-composed response. I was asked to pay, depending on the role applied for, the sum of 20/10 US Dollars (USD). This is in order to be considered for interview and documentation. 20 USD for those who applied for the 'Field Engineer' and 'Data Processing' roles and 10 USD for applicants for the other roles. The said sum is to be paid via a bitcoin address. The anonymous email address I used wasn't the same I used for the application, and I was congratulated for my satisfactory performance in the aptitude test. P.S.: I emailed bluebaseconsultsng@gmail.com and copied adekunleola811402@yahoo.com. The response came from the latter email. EbereEmma:Okay. It used to take the form of a panel interview. Just as it's the case in common job interview scenarios, you'll be asked about your previous role(s), as stated on your CV. You'll also be asked about what you know about them, how you got to know about the opening and suchlike questions. Endeavour to prepare some intelligent questions for them as well. All the best! |
EbereEmma:What role were you invited to interview for? |
PatrickOkunima:The templates were received with sincere gratitude, Mr. Okunima. God bless you. |
Thanking you in anticipation, Mr. Okunima. |
Many thanks in advance. |
The day of reckoning always comes for the erring! |
Chemz:Greetings boss. Wanted to clarify whether or not you have shortlisted prospective applicants for the Industrial Chemist role. Thanks. |
Without a shadow of doubt, it's now obvious the Benin Jay-Z referred to when he said 'I got bloodlines in Benin, that explains the voodoo' in the We Family (bonus) track of his latest album, 4:44. |
doctorfunmi:No, they're not. I can authoritatively confirm that to you. |
doctorfunmi:They're con artistes. Best ignore them. |
I wonder what the obsession is with degree classes in recent times, most especially, first class degrees. . . That someone made a first, second or third class degree doesn't make him/her less/more human, for crying out loud. Regardless of the degree class you emerge with, you still got a whole lot to prove; not only to yourself but to the society at large. With the right attitude and mindset, realizing one's dreams shouldn't be as difficult as we think. |
This enlightening post should be aimed at all graduates, regardless of class of degree. First class graduate or not, one must be well-grounded to create / add value to one's (prospective) employer(s). |
alagbasuyi:I would've given this a shot if I were you. The advert wasn't only posted on Nairaland. It was also posted on all the reliable job sites I'm familiar with. |
Tope2580:You're very welcome. |

Becoming a graduate isn't a day's job. It comes with lots of efforts, costs and commitment, regardless of one's class of degree. A 'true' graduate is expected to have developed a broad range of skill sets needed to thrive in both workplace and street settings. As such, graduates should be able to trust their judgements (and not someone else's) when it comes to honouring certain interview invites. It's perfectly fine to sample opinions but the final decision should be yours to make. You're the CEO of your life. Take charge of it! If I were to go by the OP's listed criteria, I would have lost a lucrative job opportunity which as it turns out, happens to be my current job. I saw the advert and applied via one funny email address like that. What captivated me was the fact that they wanted a graduate with an experience in a specified branch of Chemistry. I applied knowing I had nothing to lose. And when the invite came via email and sms, no company name still but I went ahead after doing my homework on the address and name of the sender. This is not to say the OP's totally wrong. Some invites are suspect without a doubt, and are usually dead on arrival when sighted by bright/smart minds. If you applied for a job posting and receive an invite afterwards, as graduates, suspend judgements first, do your research via online platforms (Nairaland, LinkedIn, etc) and other sources before coming to conclusions. It is well even in the well. |
Ol' boy, This is what I'll call a thorough dressing down for Trump from the 'Rap God' himself. |
What screen size is that, please? |
It's all play-acting. Dumb strategy. |
praise010:Nice initiative. Thumbs up. |
ogayoungboss:Are you doubting the authenticity of the mail? If so, you shouldn't be worried if you did take any test in the first place. If you didn't take any test, you should best ignore. |
chinan:Morning and happy Sunday to you as well. Addresses bearing 'Ogunlana Drive' are rather suspect when it comes to interview invites. You should best ignore. |
