Please take note that I AM NOT IN SUPPORT OF ANY CONTESTANT but please audience permit me to pinpoint some comments.

Fynestboi asked the contestants to rate their knowledge of Nairaland in general.. Refiner said 50% while lanicky said 60%..
To my surprise.. Refiner was asked to state three past winners of Mr Nairaland while lanicky was asked to state the year the organizer of this year's miss nl competition won Mr Nairaland.. This looks biased and already prepared to me..

Sorry fynestboi and friends .but to me, it seems you already prepared lanickys questions and sent it to her and she got ready made answers for them because she was able to articulately respond to your questions within a very short time frame while she struggled to even compose a line in response to questions thrown at her by one of the audience.

To the best of my understanding.. This whole thing looks pretty planned.. Even the questions u threw to some of the other contestants didn't really Mair complete sense so how did u expect them to answer accordingly.

Well this is my own opinion and I feel this whole process just to bring your PREFERRED CANDIDATE to more limelight doesn't make any sense.. Ban me if you want.. I have said my piece and I stand for the truth.

How can you claim to be a mod yet you don't know what a COVER LETTER is? You have no idea how to even construct proper questions and I noticed your candidate seemed to have typed differently today because I went through some of her old threads yesterday and her lexical abilities are even wacker than her looks! NL and its competitions are a serious joke!

The interview.. I believe..is by choice.. Dygeasy even questioned its necessity so if any contestant chooses not to partake, its no biggie.

But all of them chose to partake, except 2......that's a biggie for me.

Knightingale, it's optional but this ladies chose to go through with it....it speaks volumes... the one you're supporting backed out.....speaks volumes too...but you her supporters are here throwing around tricky questions at this contestants like you all are looking for something... what is it you're looking for?!

I think the Contestants have the right to NOT answer some stupid and irrelevant questions.

That's what you get when internet became cheap for every Dìck and Harry in Nigeria. With EmptyHEN's free 10MB and an Operamini browser, any kid or adult with a kid's brain can log in to NL and display his or her acute stupidity. It's sad, but we've to live with it. Seeing grown men and women grovelling in dirt coz of a contest that's meant to be fun is plain disgusting

A lot of people on NL avoid this section now ...It has the reputation of being filled with kids who are both rude and crude and cant have a standard conversation without using derogatory words on each other.

Of course I know that this year's madness and childish shenanigans takes the cake out of all other controversies, but the contestants shouldn't suffer and the viewers not have the fun this contest brings coz of the acts by silly children in adult skins. If the contest can start let's say tomorrow, some of these name-calling, and opening of dumb threads by coward alternates will reduce.

....and the campaign period hasn't even started..... if the contest should hold,campaign period should be scrapped, enough campaign has been done already.

There has never been any Mr./Ms. NL contest that didn't court controversies, and by extension that of the offline contests as well. From the first contest till the future contests, controversies, hate campaigns and behind-the-scenes scheming will always occur. There's nothing one can do about it. What you'd be doing is getting Dygeasy to kick off the contest ASAP instead of calling for its closure. If the competition had started, all these madness will reduce to an extent. So edit out S.eun and Merry.bet's name and coerce Geasy to start the contest already.
