Good advise @Donnet but what about the case where payment of tuition is the only condition for deferment. I had to pay mine because the school insisted no tuition no reservation of my space should I have to defer and that was why I paid. So in a case like mine what do you suggest?

I have gotten admission to study IT security at University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).
My sister is my sponsor and she is ready to provide the necessary documentation. how do I add additional sheet - should I just add a blank sheet or print an extra page of the form?

Also, my sister's was burgled sometime ago and she lost her tax card, hence she cant give me a tax clearance... can I skip this requirement? if not, what are the alternatives??

I am in my mid- to late 20's, and have been out of job for a while (since may 2010), so I dont have a rich personal bank account and would not present my bank statement, would this affect my application


Well, if you ª̳͡Rε̲̣̣̣ going for studies, you need a police clearance, transcript, admission form, school sat cert, birth cert, well for your tax clearance I ĐőŊt think that's a problem. You can simply pay some amount of money, and you will be given a tax clearance ( that's what I did), a letter from your sister as your sponsor. Her id card, you have to prove to them that after your studies you will come. Maybe this can be done by landed properties or any other tie. Well you can also read through this trend for more infor's.

Don Cipher: Hello house please i need ur candid advice here, i was refused on 30th July after 3mths processing with the following reasons:
1. You have not satisfied me that u have adequate funds available to u to pay for your tuition and living expenses while in Canada and return to your country of residence.

2. You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for your stay.

Other reasons, handwritten, sponsors not credible.

My tuition for a year costs $8518.5 including admin fees for a year @ UNB. i used 2 different sponsors, one was a company acct (Godfather) with a turn over of about 39m within 8mths with closing balance 3.5m also cert of incorporation and tax clearance included(with a letter indicating funding of $12,000 annually equivalent of N1,920,000) the other was my brother in-law's savings acct with 2.5m closing balance (included marriage cert). Graduated 2008 B.Sc Comp Sci, NIIT 2008 Oracle OCA & OCP KarROX Ethical Hacker 2011, working for over 3yrs but didn't include my personal statement.

This is what i feel, i have requested for a new acceptance letter, @ the moment i have N1.2M in my savings account which has been there for the past 2mths and i want to try to build it up to about N3.4M within the next 5wks (which i intend leaving throughout the processing period) before i apply again for Jan 2013. Would the visa officer see that as cash lodgement.

I also intend getting another sponsor who owns a company but this time i wish to include his personal acct instead of only company account like i did previously, but how to prove my relationship to the sponsor is my headache right now.

I would have used my boss who happened to be my lecturer in school(We have known since March 2004), but his company has issues with tax clearance. Is it possible to use his personal account with him introducing himself as Managing Consultant of the company i work for without CDHC requesting for his tax certs because it is already in record that i work for his company.

Finally, what is the minimum account balance required by CDHC


Yea you have done well, but if to ask, you don't have any document that tie you this country. You to fine away to prove it to them that you will return after schooling. Well †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ minimum amount needed is 3.5 million. if you have that amount in †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ account before jan next year, I will advise you to try and run †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ account regularly, and don't put all †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ money at once into †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ account, try to split it cause all this will show in account statement. Well for your sponsors they too much, I will advise you try and have one sponsor, look for †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ one that is more close to you, then for you, it was stated that you have been working for †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ past 3years, that means you have to show you account statement too. And lastly be prayerful.

apart from the landed properties as a prove of ties to homeland, what other ways can a student (esp an undergraduate applicant) prove to the embassy that he/she would leave at the end of his/her studies?
Bear in mind that an undergraduate MIGHT not be in position to sponsor himself/herself and also would probably not have a good account history.

pauloman: @ All in the spirit of some good news in the house. i just got an email message from the embassy that my Permanent Residence Visa is ready for pick up. Please help me thank Baba God oh for it has not been an easy road. I use my success as a point of contact to everyone in the house that are waiting for medicals and trv collection and also those applying again that this will mark the beginning of Good news for everyone. AMEN !!!

@donnet I think after medical the only thing that can stand in your way is if you fail the medicaltests (God Forbid) So dont worry yourself.

btw were you able to get your application reference number?

90perc is quite high, I think this year the general trend was people sponsored by parents get the medical call quickly compared with people sponsored by relatives. Probably less checks are done on people sponsored by parents..I submitted June.

shavel: @all just returned my passport to vac today, cdhc asked me to submit full tuition receipt with my passport but the school didn't send my receipt since payment have been made . In order to meet the cdhc specified deadline which is tomorrow I decided to submit the wire transfer transaction reference which shows the school's Acct number and all of other details........pls I would like members of the house to comment on this in order to know my fate...... mikky4all: I have a complicated issue here and I need help asap. My sponsor (father) was using all his original documents in another embassy as at the time my application was due for submit ion so I had to make photocopy of all the documents and then authenticate it at an high court. So I submitted all my documents as authenticated photocopy. Now the original document is ready, what can I do to this effect please. Submitted May 28, no medial call u yet. Please I need a reply urgently. For undergraduate

@donnet.all is well.you will get your visa..you are now at the last stage of the visa and you will surely get it.so try and get your application number from your agent and track it yourself,after medical and what date in may did you submit.after medicals all you need do is to chill for 2weeks to 3 for your visa and you are good to go.

@donnet You need yóur application ref no to track and that's on the receipt which will most likely be with your agent. Tho you could try mailing VFS with your name, passport no, date of birth , submission date and ask for your reference no.
