Mendy solving problems and implementing cruise based methodology against Benzema.
This is what Tuchel teaches them to do, to solve problems by doing this as a keeper.

Griffon: Frankfurt walloped Bayern this season, Juve don collect this season, PSG and Real Madrid don collect, so we should all agree that they don’t have a way of playing?
You’re insane. Cry today, cry tomorrow... What you said was absolutely trash. Verticality in possession and circuit based methodology indeed.

I'm trying to figure out his style and pattern, none for now. Absolutely none..... We no get pattern. It’s a bit shameful that Tuchel’s fans can’t even come up with something convincing regarding to this. Is he tactical? NO! Will I stop saying it? NO! They’ll understand this soon. |

Griffon: You watch Chelsea’s games just like I do. You should have noticed a change in our style of play from what it used to be when Frankie was in charge.
Tuchel places a lot of emphasis on verticality in possession and circuit based methodology. Tuchel’s pattern of play is vertical possession and circuit based methodology? Bros wetin be this nh? Even if you combine Ferguson, Pep, Mou and Klopp’s playing ideas together, e no go produce this pattern wey you talk say Tuchel dey play.

Griffon: Both Pamcode and Bluemann have provided you with the answers you need. I still don’t know what you want to read.
Should we switch to a low block, then he’d relax and absorb the pressure from the opposition, it’s simple. It’s a low risk form of defending, one he can handle perfectly well.
This is akin to asking “Can one who drove a manual transmission vehicle drive an automatic transmission?” I understand your point, but please help me tell our pattern of football? What’s Tuchel-ball? I believe I’ll understand you better if you answer. |

Context indeed!!
How about Chelsea had injury crises, ManU twice changed their manager, Spurs changed their manager too, which helped Liverpool and ManCity do well this season.
Let’s not give Liverpool and City credit because of that, since ManU deserves no credit for finishing second last season because of Liverpool injury crisis and Chelsea manager sacking.

BlueMann: I don't think it's the same thing. In Werner's case, playing against a highline is the best case scenario for a striker like him, so concerns about how he'll fare against a low block are understandable. But for Gvardiol, I'd like to believe if he can excel playing a high line - which is perhaps the riskiest form of defense - then he shouldn't have much problems playing in more conservative set ups. Should Chelsea switch to lowblock defending, what will happen to him? Do we even have a pattern? |

ChristoBam: Lmao. Can you imagine. Guy even called Ronaldo lazy. The guy knew Ronaldo is affecting the others, but like everyone else, he can't pinpoint the exact way he is. So just kept coming up with different conjectures. When ManU fans learn how to become less emotional and logic over football matters, then they’ll start enjoying football again. This is the same thing ManU ex players who are pundit now are suffering. Aside Keane, the rest are just so sentimental and emotional, no single logical opinion, same with most fans. There’s no way... I repeat.... There’s no way you’ll watch Bruno, Rashford, Greenwood and Cavani of last season under Ole and won’t agree that Ronaldo ruined them, he ruined the system. But just like I said, legend must legend. I hope he stays next season. |

Bombblacks: Ronaldo cannot play as a lone striker. He starts on the Wing and have license to roam which is already going to cause trouble to the team set up and secondly Ronaldo is even more lazy than Martial in terms of pressing. Ronaldo is only the board signing[ and In my opinion a big mistake.

ChristoBam: Don’t give me all of that. This was you before Ronaldo played his first game. It’ll affect Greenwood, Bruno and Rashford. Look at the season of those 3 especially Rashford and Greenwood. It has obviously affected them. According to you, we were winning with the individual brilliance of these guys last season. Where has all the all the individual brilliance gone to?
Most of y’all know the truth. This points to the fact. But for whatever reason y’all just want to stay blind to the truth staring you in the face. Legend must legend, even if it’s at the detriment of the team’s success.

Griffon: Yeah, speak of Baba Rahman, Werner and Havertz and the hype that surrounded their acquisitions.
I’ve been following Liepzig’s games ever since Gvardiol, Nkunku and Andre Silva were mentioned to me by a friend who I play SM with.
Under Tedesco, Gvardiol has shown that he can flourish both in a strict man-to-man marking style and a zonal one - this sees them defend not only high up the pitch but also in a mid or low-block.
Their formation varies from a 5-3-2 to 3-4-3 and in both of them, the team can use the same pressing movements, and he (Gvardiol) thrives in both.
This is where my attention is - Gvardiol team’s style of play and how it corresponds with the demands of Tuchel-ball, not the league itself. Tuchel-ball? What style of play is Tuchel-ball? I’ve watched clips of Gvardiol, he’s very very offensive like he’s a midfielder, and that’s what you get from defenders who play in a league where “High-line” is the only way they play. Next excuse that might come up later is that “He’s a high line” kind of player that’s why he didn’t perform. Same thing people are saying about Werner not being able to thrive well against EPL low block defenders. |

Griffon: I don’t know about you, but the quality of football that’s been delivered in the Bundesliga over the past 3 seasons surmounts whatever they’re dishing out in Spain.
If still in doubt, go make enquiries from Barcelona about their recent trip to Frankfurt.
So yes, I’ll have Gvardiol over Pau. Thank you! I don’t rate Pau, so don’t think questioning Gvardiol was because of Pau. I’m only concerned of the recent experience we’ve had with Bundesliga players. |

Griffon: Few assessments:
1. Progressive Carries (moving the ball 5 yards forward in the final two-thirds of the pitch).
Gvardiol (5.40 per 90 minutes). Rudiger (5.39) Torres (5.18)
2. Dribbles Attempted
Torres (1.1 per 90) Gvardiol (1.31) Rudiger (0.31)
3. Passing
Torres (86.8%) Gvardiol (84%) Rudiger (88.3%).
4. Progressive Passes (passes that move the ball 10 yards forward in the final two-thirds of the pitch).
Gvardiol (5.2 per 90 mins) Torres (4.69) Rudiger (4.96)
5. Error Leading To Shot
Torres has made two errors leading to shots, while mistakes from Gvardiol have only led to one shot. Rudiger has made two errors himself this campaign.
6. Tackles And Interceptions
Gvardiol - 5.4 per 90 minutes Torres - 2.69 per 90 Rudiger - 2.92 per 90
7. Aerial Duels
Torres - 65.6% Gvardiol - 59.1%. Rudiger - 69.5%
Statistically, where Pau has an edge over Gvardiol is aerial duels won. Bar that, the Croat be senior man.
Here’s a City fan agreeing with me on Pau. Which league Gvardiol dey? |

popizaino: I thought experience doesnt count,as far they are young they are OK by you even though they might be stupid .But on a more serious note I think that Torino defender might be good also although I haven't watched him before but alot of people who have seen him play say he is good. By experienced players I don’t mean 35+, I don’t mean finished 37 years old defenders, I don’t mean Chelsea signing Vidic, Puyol or Maldini because of experience. I mean 26-30 agile defenders who are performing and balling hard at big stage. Torino Bremer is actually a nobody to me, I’ve not watched him. |
