donjazet: Whenever pulisic is fit, he's always firing. Nobody can have issue with that. He is a better goal threat than many attackers in our team. I hope tuchel starts using him regularly enough.
We can’t keep waiting for when he’ll turn to a steady fit player. It’s becoming too much.
BlueMann: But the point I addressed was that Ziyech would be counted ahead of him.
Perhaps all these players you mentioned played greater roles than Pulisic, but that doesn't mean he wasn't important. He still played a key role in our success. That's what oga Donjazet was saying.
I’m only saying he won’t make top8 if time isn’t taken.
I wouldn’t want to open his chapter here, but that guy is just a disguising Dembele in Chelsea with his injury problems. He’s just loved by Chelsea fans, that’s why nobody drags him.
BlueMann: How so? Because he scored against Atletico?
Pulisic too assisted in that same game, put in a fantastic performance away to Porto when they had to chop him down severally, then scored and assisted in both games against R.Madrid.
Even in the final, he was called upon ahead of Ziyech.
Aguero and Fernandiho didn’t start for ManCity in that finals. So don’t even use this as a point.
Nobody is saying Pulisic didn’t try, I’m not saying he won’t make top5 influential players that won us the UCL.
He won’t even make top7.
Kante Mendy Rudiger Giroud Werner Jorginho Thiago Mount
All these players will comfortable be counted before Pulisic in that UCL win.
donjazet: Werner that just kept chopping goals anyhow.
There is a certain bite pulisic injects into our attack. The way he glides past defenders, nice acceleration, having both pace and speed. If this guy was not injury prone, I'm sure he would have been better than hazard. He still has time though.
Werner scored and assisted more than Pulisic, I think Abraham too[with lesser games].
Pulisic is another lowkey liability to Chelsea, the only reason people don’t drag him is because his fans don’t overhype him.
Werner, Abraham and Giroud were more influential in that attack last season than Pulisic in UCl.
donjazet: Watching this video just reminded me all over again of how important giroud and pulisic were for us in the champions league last season, from the group stages to the knockouts. Very good players. Giroud served us very well while here. A bargain signing.
MorataFC: Sporting CP is better and stronger than Lille if we want to consider present form and Sporting CP has never lost a league game this season, they are on top of the league with same points with Porto conceded just five goals in 14 matches. Lille of this season is just a team C of last season, they have conceded more in 18 matches than what dey conceded in 38 matches last season, this season alone they concede more than what they score and as it stands now they won't even qualify for conference league, nonetheless no team is pushover when it comes to ucl but we are lucky to have dem in R16.
I met Riff in Germany after his ManU call up and I said to him, My Lord Riff! I trust your Gengen pressing to lead us to Ucl Glory, I’ve always known you to be the mentor of Klopp, Pep, Tuchel and I believe you’re the man to take us there
But dem chase one leave the other...forgetting big clubs require strong mentality and belief
I’m not actually interested in Gallagher whatever, he’s a nobody for us to start regretting loaning him.
Just another Gilmore who’s lucky to be in a better team. I’ve actually watched him, he can’t thrive in Tuchel’s system. He’s lazy too.
I don’t know where you guys want him to play, Fraudvertz has been playing from one position to another and flopping shamelessly, Barkley and RLC too, same position issues. Everybody cannot be Mount who can give you good performance even as a linesman or keeper.
Gallagher must remain where he is until Tuchel switch to to 3 midfielders. Playing Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic role in this Chelsea is the hardest task you’ll ever think of.
That’s why people leave strikers, attackers and defenders just to focus on them.
raumdeuter: What color of card do you think they will issue for that type of foul given that he is the last man. And do you think its better to get sent off at 50 something minute instead of conceeding a goal and have 11 men try to come back?
And you think Jorginho processed all these that made him not to foul him?
Jorginho cannot function without protection. He is not reliable.
donjazet: Unfortunately we are poor in that department. Our central midfielders for the past 8 years have all been poor with their shot, none in the mould of Gerald, scholes, lampard etc. Form Mikel obi to matic, fabregas, kante, and jorginho. All have been very poor at their shooting techniques. But it's no coincidence that jorginho has scored more goals than all of them. And goals do make a difference anyhow you want to analyze it.
I understand you’re point perfectly, I’m only asking if you think Jorginho and Kovacic shoots better than Kante?
donjazet: Exonerate, Every single player on the planet has their weaknesses and their strengths. It's a team sports because your teammates are supposed to complete each other. Each player being a key part of a puzzle to create the perfect outcome.
Kante and jorginho are now 2 of the best midfielders in the game. Kante's weaknesses is his poor passing, poor creativity and shot quality but he more than makes up for it with his energetic runs and ball recoveries. Jorginho is indeed slow, [a common trait for players of his roles], busquet, mascherano, rodri, modric, pirlo, Xabi alonso etc. But they all more than make up for this with other qualities of their game. Jorginho is our best passer of the ball, he masterfully dictates the tempo of our game, and yes, he does evade the press numerously for us to maintain possession of the ball. Not to talk of the added bonus of his goals. This is where he does supercede kante's contribution to the team. His penalties have bailed us countlessly since he came. It helps anyteam to have an assured penalty taker. It indicates a very strong mental strength which he also shows on the pitch as our vice captain, directing other players on their positional play and direction of passes.
Overall the vast majority of Chelsea fans are glad to have him or at least respect what he does for us. At least the Chelsea fans on this thread do too. Just as also seen on Twitter and reddit.
How many midfielders in Chelsea can shoot better than Kante?
Joezinho: City had a very similar game early today that was decided by a penalty (against a 10 man wolves for 45 minutes). Even your chelshit sweat to win and you spent almost the whole evening on your thread wailing and lamenting.
These games happen - we were poor and they played well but we got the points. These things happen, hopefully we see improvement soon, but if we won every game from here until the end of January 1-0 I’d still take it.
