For those who do not know, the average cost of producing a barrel of crude in Nigeria is higher than in most other countries of the world. That tends to reduce our profit on each barrel of crude we produce and sell.

Where does the subsidy money goes?
Payment of Debts with hanging interests. CMGs. The issue of crediting vulnerable Nigerians isn't yet sure of how many percent each home got according to the World bank & IMF.
What can be done to generate more revenue & increase the GDP?
Tax reform, Toll on Lagos/Calabar Coastal way. Diversification etc. (Power,security. etc for investors confidence) & which I commend this administration.
The naira for crude for local refinery is the most difficult choice any administration could have done with such exchange rate to dollar.
All the loans & frameworks are clear long term vision for positive developmental change that are achievable & sustainable through right future administrations.
I would say the fiscal policies of this administration has a focus. It's young & it carries a subsidy Removal shockwave that created an inflation. But at the long run with or without an oil windfall, the fiscal stability will prevail & the country will put the worst & dark behind.


I'm an Engineer, I'm not interested in Politics. But from a layman's view. I do think this very administration(nothing to do with it's party) is on the right track in trying to solve the many challenges facing the economy due to years of corruption, lack of focus, monoculture of oil export etc.

That's one thing about our security operatives. Recently, Asari Dokubo's team rescued kidnapped victims from the kalabari creeks after 21days in captivity. That same creek, you will see the Nigeria navy, NSCDC & even the police fighting for rights to inspect crude-Laden ships. President Tinubu listed 40 achievements & one stated the creation of mining Marshalls under the NSCDC. Why will a police officer be on any mining site? Or maybe
the NPF & NSCDC are the same.

Countries like Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, South Africa and others, have developed sound social registers and use them to channel routine cash transfers to vulnerable citizens to promote financial inclusion. On its own merit, it is a commendable strategy to give the lowliest members of society access to government-administered palliation.

Do we have a social register that can detect the very poor & vulnerable Nigerians? Because for sure, NIN & BVN don't have the capability for such.

A Good non interest bond. It's good international bodies are having confidence in our debt repayment system. Unlike the 2005 shameful plea for the reduction of the Paris club debt.

Carelessness coming from the scrap operator. No how the forklift operator would've known the scrap machine wasn't turned off. Probably he got on top of the basin to pull out the scrap that stopped the machine. And again scrap machines have incredible horsepower. A scrap such machines can't grind, can't also be pulled out by one man. Maybe the machine needed to be repaired/replaced or something or maybe it's a medium low-powered scrap machine. Mehn! Probably an Asian company.Too bad. No SAFETY training before employment.
