Greetings to all, I submitted my application for a visa to France on December 30th and received an email stating that the visa is ready for collection yesterday. I am concerned whether this early notification may indicate a rejection, considering that it has only been a week since my application. This is my second time applying for a visa to France. In 2023, I had a 15-day visa valid for one month, during which I stayed for 12 days. Has anyone encountered a similar situation of receiving a quick decision that turned out to be positive?

I plan on doing about three or four Schengen countries trips in 2025 (ie within a year), spending a max of 14 days each time. I applied for 1 year multiple visa, is the application supposed to fall under long-stay visa or short-stay visa?

i was Issued Italy twice last year, my wife got 1 from Italy too last year, am so scared cause this is too fast...

Congratulations! My last France visa was processed within three days and I got a year, that was my 5th Schengen visa though.

1. How many days can I stay in France during this period

2. the 30 days duration of stay, does it mean, i can stay 30 days on each visit within the duration of 90 days?

1. The visa is valid for 90days (within the stated dates), the total number of days you can stay in France or other Schengen countries is 30days. Whether you go in and out 20times.
2. The 30days is the total number of days! Whether on single entry or multiple entry (if you visit 20times, the total number of days you are allowed must be 30days or lesser.

They've just been refused earlier this year and he's been told to try other countries to open up a travel history, but he's not listening.

I recall him being told that his circumstances has to have improved.

Congratulations to you, they wouldn’t have requested for your passport if your application was not approved

So, I just completed filling a UK visit visa application form for my mum, booked an appointment and just about to upload documents when I realized that the passport number I wrote on the application form was her old passport number, not the new one (you know on your new passport, you will have new and old passport numbers). Surely, honest mistake from my own end.

Her appointment is Monday Dec 2. What do you suggest I do?

Cancel the current application and ask for refund, while I process another new application?
Do an affidavit?

I’ll suggest you cancel the application and reapply as no VO will process an expired passport. I also doubt if they’ll acknowledge affidavits in respect of that.

You shouldn’t be worried if you actually work there na, they might want to confirm your employment status, etc. I think it is a good sign.

Only in this forum, I have seen people whose closing balance is 3M and still get a 2-week visa issued. It has nothing to do with what you return to do at home after the holiday is done and fulfilled. Please we shouldn’t be creating anxiety in people's minds.

It is okay if you’re a frequent flyer (not first timer). But if it is your first time… Hmmmmm! The Visa officer will decide sha. The value of Naira is the major problem as they expect you to move around, feed, shop, etc. and must have something substantial when you return.

Please For those in France, which countries are basically closest to it as I’m planning my trip and wishes to explore other Schengen countries via train as I did when I traveled to some UK countries.

Though id land in London first before flying to France from Ireland or Cardiff wales. I need stamps in my visas as my 2years UK visa is still virgin. I was supposed to travel last month October but didn’t because I wanted to explore France reason I had to put up France visa and I also got that. thanks to God. And it’s cheaper flying via London.

I’m actually doing my research via schengen map and I’m seeing Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and, Luxembourg but I believe those that reside there or have been there know best so that I’d plan my itinerary well.

I have my Visa already but planning how to spend my days and hotel and train booking.

Please note that Ireland runs a separate visa scheme from UK and Schengen. You will need to apply for their visa which might take two months to process. So, DOT Ireland from your adventure for now

The instruction says Docs to be uploaded must be in A4 size, so I’ll advise you go resize the docs before going to TLS.

I submitted my France Schengen visa application yesterday and deep down in my mind I met all the requirements but I didn’t have a passport photograph along to the center. I was charged for that and I snapped a picture but on the point of submitting the passport photograph, only one was accepted from me by the woman who attended to me at the biometric room. Immediately after the situation, I knew deep down that the visa application would be rejected or have a visa refused despite the fact I called the call center to explain things to them and was given the hope that if the application needed additional documentation I would be emailed.
For people who are going to submit their applications, kindly have it in the back of your mind that you need to do proper research and stand on what you have researched to avoid being led off by the agent at the submission center!

You have not committed any offence, infact I always take my passport photographs at the visa application office so as to meet up with the required standard, one passport photograph is needed for your application and stop beating yourself over this. Be positive pls. Congratulations in advance

Your personal account showing you’re paying yourself salary, you can add your business account too but must be ready to explain your business transactions backed with documents and receipts. You’ll also need your business CAC Certificate (must be active), your tax clearance and other docs relating to your business.

Thank you so much . Actually my application was refused today , so distraught right now . Thing is , I got a mail that my application status has changed , but I used an agent so I don’t have access to the main page , so I called him that I got a mail and he checked and told me my application was refused , I really don’t know if it happens like that ,refusal when it’s almost six month , November 14 will make it six month , I did biometrics may 14.

Now , he’s saying the reason I was refused was they said I wouldn’t return if I go , and the decision can be appealed , I don’t know if that true , But not immediately , maybe after 1 month , please can you throw more light on this , can’t really trust these agents. Thanks.

Tell him to send your refusal letter to you as sent directly to have a clue of your situation. Stop sleeping on ‘he said, he said’ see the decision reason(s) yourself.

You're wrong, I submitted 6months payslip and bank statement during my last application , in fact I have always submitted 6months statement and payslips. They return 3months to some people though

You will book for Biometrics after submitting your application, you will be redirected to VFS website to book your biometrics appointment


Can+ is programmed for those who have visited US, have a valid, or expired US visa. The benefit is that in most cases, your Canada visa processing time is fast and you submit very few documents.
You are only qualified if you have a valid or expired US visa!

You probably did a fake card, go to the port health office by the Toll gate at MMIA (if you are in Lagos), you will make some payment and get the authentic card there, everything will cost less than N6k, you can give tomm as early as possible so you can get it same day, then submit the front and middle pages to the SA embassy

Congratulations, why not submit your passport as requested, visit Canada and don't overstay? Renew the passport as at when indicated, you will get a faster response since it won't be your first time with a longer visa duration.

You don’t have to worry, even if you submit your passport on the 19th, you have met up with your deadline date. Once you submit to VFS, they will communicate with IRCC. Go submit on the 15th without any wahala jare. Congratulations 🥂
