I have 2 bank accounts, one is a salary account and the other another account that’s relatively new.

Please can I print 3Months statements from my salary account that has been active for a year where I have fairly enough funds and one month from my new account where there is enough funds when combined with my salary account?

Is it a safe thing to do? I also have documents to proof where the money in the new account came from.

You can but please mention it in your introduction letter, explain why the new account is not up to 3months to them with Evidence pls.

Better ask your agent wella or Ask for your login details to check your status. My biometrics was on the 7th of December 2023 and I got a decision notice on the 31st of May.

Please try to visit your bank to get the statement. Overlook the stress and distance.

No it wasn't, I just downloaded it from the bank app as you can easily request for your statement directly from the app instead of going to the bank.

I was also advised to get my lawyer to write a letter to them defending my business and bank statement together with a reference letter from the bank stating how genuine my bank statement is and how long I have been banking with them, because I actually printed it out from the bank app. Also someone advised I try to top up my account with a lump sum showing a commission from the sales of a property.
I would be visiting the bank tomorrow as I have pre informed my account officer and my lawyer but the issue is paying in a lump sum now, won't it be a cause for concern or I should just leave the balance the way it is. Thank you so much as I need every good advice to scale through this hurdle.

Was the initial statement stamped and signed by your bank? I mean the one you submitted alongside your application?

Does TLS collect original copies of your documents or just duplicate copies?

Original bank statement, leave letter, bank reference letter, reference letter from your employers, your introduction letter, your flight itenrary, medical insurance, and hotel reservation.
Others are duplicates, but it is advised you make copies of all your documents apart from bank statement which might be voluminous

I got a refusal letter yesterday too,
I submitted on the 4th of Dec
Biometrics on the 7th,
I have 5 Schengen visas, one SA, one Turkey, one Kenya and one Ireland visas as part of my travel history.
My POF was N11M and $3k (trip for 11 days)
I submitted ALL relevant docs including my marriage Certificate.
The only Reason for refusal is ‘Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable)’.

I concluded within my myself that these guys have limited number of TRV to be issued.
Whichever way, I will definitely apply for GCMS note and return my application later this year.

I just got my second France Visa yesterday. Tell me why they gave me a 2weeks Multiple entry visa 😭😫 even though my first visa was 1month, I thought I would be getting more duration this time around.

Just use it and don’t overstay, your next might be 6months.

You cannot send your bank statement directly to the Canada embassy. Only the copy uploaded to your portal for the visa application is considered part of your application. Please ask your agent what was the actual financial document uploaded to your application

His bank can send it directly to the embassy while he uploads a copy in his application.
I agree that he asks his agent about the docs uploaded because these agents can be funny, my mouth no fit talk wetin I once see for one of those computer centres in Admiralty way

I just go a response from IRCC that my proof of fund seems to be fraudulent and not true. Was asked to defend within 7 days. Or else they will make decision based on it.
My statement is accurate. I did the mybamkstatement from my bank. I dont know what d problem could be.
Any one with information on how best to answer them?

Go get another statement of account covering the period you submitted earlier and explain your situation with a letter. Get the normal hard copy as a back up, and MybankStatement too

I also would like to use this opportunity to say that I noticed a lot of skepticism around using agents. But not all of them are bad or irresponsible. I tried to use Cradlehaven last year, but the customer service was very poor. I eventually used TATAgency. I was given the list of documents to provide and I appreciated how the guy assigned to my request served me. They completed the application and asked me to review. I made my adjustments. I submitted my application MYSELF.

I have had previous rejection but during the process I saw the mistakes I made earlier.

I guess I’m saying look for a reputable agency if you must use an agent like I did. Some of them are really good and transparent.

Good morning, please do not book flight yet o, just make a reservation for the purpose of the trip, a travel agent should be able to help you, they shouldn’t collect more than N5k from you.
Secondly, you can surely add your pension certificate and all relevant docs that will help your application
Lastly, I doubt if there is Appointment date till July in Lagos for now. So work within that period when making your flight reservation and hotel booking. Wishing you best of luck

Timeline:

May 13, 2024- Dropped Passport at TLS and had my biometrics taken. Application transferred to Decision Making Centre same day.
May 16, 2024- Received Email from gov.uk that that my application has been received and is awaiting consideration.
May 23, 2024- Received Email that passport is ready for collection.

Decision:

10-year multiple entry tourist visa issued.

Nope! Not all countries, Are you aware that as a Nigerian, you can enter Mexico with a multiple Schengen visa?

Good morning house, i got my passport request yesterday, but then my passport expired and i renewed it while waiting for IRCC to decide on my application. Pls do i need to raise a webform to inform them that i have a new passport and also after raising the webform do i have to wait for acreply before sending my passport

Congratulations, submit both passports (the expired and renewed). The VFS officers will explain further to you.
Also write a letter to explain your situation, I am not sure webform can work at this moment as your application has already been approved.

Naira debit cards are not allowed, you can however use Providus bank Naira debit card or any bank’s usd card

You don’t need to be charged any fee to process Tourist visa if you do it yourself (DIY), it is the simplest form of application, go to YouTube to make research or study this thread well, you’ll understand what am talking about .
