- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two Nigerian nationals caught with drugs

- The agency said it will charge the duo to court for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act

- The duo, however, denied they were drug peddlers, claiming they are students in Metro Manila

Two Nigerians were arrested by The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after being caught with 500 grams of fake ‘shabu’ and other counterfeit drugs amounting to P2.5 million (about N48m).

The drugs, which were labelled dangerous by the agency, were seized from Agu Austin Chukwuebuka and Nkwocha Chimaobi in an entrapment operation in Bacoor, Cavite on Friday, March 16.


CNN Philippines reports that the duo was arrested after they sold 11 sachets of suspected shabu stashed in electronic adaptors to an undercover agent

NAIJ.com gathered that both suspects reportedly denied they were drug peddlers, claiming they are students in Metro Manila.

Intelligence reports, however, linked Chukwuebuka and Chimaobi to an African drug syndicate operating in parts of Cavite.

The PDEA Chief Aaron Aquino said the compound, which looks like shabu but has no stimulant effect, is poisonous.

He said: “These drugs have no effect. So the users think they’re high when actually there are just tricked into believing that.”

Aquino added that this is a sign that illegal drugs are harder to obtain and source in the country.

“This is why there is a growing demand for other forms of illegal drugs like ecstasy and marijuana,” he said.

Chukuewuebuka and Chimaobi will be reportedly charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

I also graduated wit 2.1(the so-called strong second class upper 4.44) buh no job since 2014. I had to look for other means of survival. Gloria my point is instead of committing suicide, its better she find someone she can find solace with,someone that can talk to her either a fe/male..if a male she can just flirt with him or date him if possible. I pray u don't go tru depression what most of them want is just to talk to someone who can speak live to them or make them know they are loved.

She definitely have colleagues but may be she is not free with most of them not talk of confiding in them, most time all we need is just someone can listen to us, look in to our eyes and see the pain, soothe the pain with his/her words and give us a shoulder to lean on.
