Bubewilson: Hi, i recently installed bluestacks app ( an android emulator on my laptop). While using it to whatsapp & surf the net i found out that its rate of data consuption is on the high side as most of the background apps automatically download their updates and other stuffs. I did check for where to disable such actions in the app settings but i didn't see any, i also googled solutions for such but i didn't get meaningful results. I would appreciate if anyone here knows a solution to such problem.
Pls i would also like to ask how i will close (singly) an app i no longer use when multiple apps are runing. Thanks and may God bless as you help a brother who does'nt have an android phone to fall back on.

My Broda the main tin dat consumes ur data when using bluestack is ur computer's background apps. not the bluestack. whenever u start using it, all other system apps gains internet access and run in background and some even start updating themselves automatically like ur antivirus software. anyway, u can still disable auto sync in ur bluestack app.

U cant use an app to generate recovery image. Dats all.

1. Download and place the image file into internal storage.
2. Rename the image file into "recovery.img". [Without
quotes]
3. Install MTK MobileUncle Tool from Play Store and open and
go to Recovery Updates option
4. Select the image file to install and let it be installed
automatically.
5. It will reboot into recovery.

Bross thank you for the reply but wat I seriously need to know is how to get ' recovery. img' without having to download it from internet. can't I get it ryt from my own device? how do people get the ones they upload online?

pls tech gurus here, what is the size of this Gionee m2 recovery. img? I got my recovery.img using flashify apk app and the size is 10mb. however, I have seen a recovery. img of this phone somewhere in the internet and that one is 6mb in size.
Is my own wrong? cos I want to use it to flash custom recovery and back my phone up. I need answers urgently pls.

TO ALL THOSE WHO WISH TO USE 64GB MICRO SD CARD ON THEIR ANDROID PHONES.

1. NEVER FORMAT THE MEMORY CARD WITH WINDOWS CAUSE WINDOWS DOES NOT FORMAT 64GB IN THE NATIVE FAT32 THAT ANDRIOD AND OTHER PHONES USE, INSTEAD IT FORMATS IT INTO EXFAT OR NTFS WHICH ANDROID DOES NOT NATIVELY SUPPORT
2. AFTERMATH OF FORMATING YOUR MICRO SD IN WINDOWS AND THEN INSERTING IT INTO YOUR ANDROID WILL BRING ABOUT AN ERROR MESSAGE "MEMORY CARD FORMAT NOT SUPPORTED"
3. IF BY CHANCE YOU HAVE ALREADY FORMATTED THE MICRO SD CARD IN WINDOWS BEFORE SEEING THIS WARNING DON'T BE AFRAID, JUST GOOGLE "FAT32 FORMATTER FOR WINDOWS" ON GOOGLE, DOWNLOAD THE VERY SMALL FILE,USE IT TO FORMAT THE MICRO SD BACK TO FAT32.
AFTER THAT, YOUR PHONE SHOULD NOW BE ABLE TO "SEE" THE MICRO SD CARD. REMEMBER TO USE THE INTERNAL PHONE SOFTWARE TO FORMAT THE MICRO SD CARD ONCE MORE TO VALIDATE THE CARD FULLY.

Enyogbe: Lolzzz.. who says video recording ain't got a PAUSE feature.. while recording Ehn, that same button you used to start the recording Ehn simply long press it like 2 or three seconds... the video will definitely pause itself while Ivan also resume your recording... I know a lot of peeps don't even know abt this... glad m sharing...

Abeg o, how do I pause a video am recording in this phone? For instance, if I want to skip some scenes when taking a video with dis phone and want to continue from where I stopped without having to quit dat particular video, how do I do it?
there is no PAUSE feature in the video recorder. this is a big minus for dis great phone.
Pls is there any oda video recorder I can download dat have that "pause and continue" features?

Health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu indeed deserves commendation. In the wake of Ebola from AMERICAN-liberian Patrick Sawyer, the Health Minister swung into action. Tho it was shaky af first due to the seeming unpreparedness of everybody. He fought Ebola to a standstill, convening meetings here and there, giving directives on things, working with the Lagos state government and other states and notably providing up to date information to give public insight and calm tension. As at today we have no case of Ebola in the country. Our hearts go out to those who lost loved ones, but it would have been more but for the hard work of the health minister and his team.

I am not a politician, but I think every good work deserves commendation.

Now to the man who fought hard to fight Ebola for his country, I say well done.

Again commendation shd go to all the doctors and medical practitioners in all areas of the field, and to all Nigerians who have been using hand sanitizers to ensure they protect themselves.

danvault: But people buy 3G modems @ 5k and above. Its possible to use the phone as a modem with nokia PC suite, take pics and do more. Don't forget that some people, or should i say fools, bought this same device at 50k back then. I never said the price was fixed though
