Egg chicken need the artificial operation management in the whole incubation period, according to the characteristics of embryonic development, it is divided into two key periods, embryonic age 1-7 days and embryonic age 18-21 days. We need to provide suitable incubation conditions for the two embryonic age in the management, improve the hatching rate and chicks quality. In general, we need to pay attention to heat preservation in earlier stage and attach importance to ventilate in later period
First : Embryonic age 1-7 days
In order to improve the incubation temperature and reduce the time to reach a suitable temperature, you could take the following measure:
1.Preheating before egg hatching, it is not only beneficial the awakening of embryonic egg, restore vitality, but also reduce the dropping of incubation temperature, shorten the heating time
2.During the process of incubation, from 1th to 5th day, should close all incubator air intakes.
3.When we disinfect the eggs with the Formalin and potassium permanganate, we should conduct it when the egg shell surface was dried and avoid 24-96 hours’ old embryonic eggs
4.Do not candling eggs before 5 days, so as to avoid the temperature of incubator and egg table dropped sharply. Egg in bulk should conduct after 5 days, in addition, the broken eggs should be removed
5.Improve the incubator environmental temperature
6.Avoid long time power outage, in case of no electricity, we could improve the hatching house temperature, can also add heat water in the water pond
Second Embryonic age 18-21 days
Chick embryos at 18-19 days are embryonic transition from film to breather 06-06-30 pulmonary respiration period, oxygen demand surge, the temperature of itself is very high, and as pipping and hatching, pathogenic microorganisms in the eggshell spread rapidly at the incubation period, it should have full fully ventilation of this period. In order to solve the problem of heat and oxygen, we should talk the following measures
1.Avoid embryonic at 18 days to shift hatching tray, we could conduct it at the age of 17 days, or at extended embryo age 19 days
2. When piping, hatching, increase humidity,reduce the temperature, On the one hand to prevent piping eggshell, accelerate the evaporation of water, it is not good for breaking the shell, on the other hand, to prevent dehydration of chicks, it is important to increase the humidity especially when the hatching time is long. Improve humidity and reduce hatching incubation temperature, avoiding high temperature and humidity. In general, Embryonic at 19 to 21 days, the hatching temperature is less than 37-37.5 degree, during the hatching period, relative humidity will increase to 70-75%
3.Pay attention to ventilation, can increase the ventilation rate if necessary
4.To ensure the normal supply of power, the incubation effect will be influenced even a short power outage. If no electricity, we should open the machine, up and down the tray and measurement the eggs with temperature thermometer, at this time, the temperature showing on door table thermometer can not represent the temperature of hatcher.
5.When choosing,generally 60% to 70% of chicks hatched, pick the first chicks when the hair is dry. And picking up the empty eggshell. After hatching, move the unborn embryo eggs to the top of hatching machine for hatching. Finally pick again and clean tray
6.Observe window shading, small chicks have phototaxis, the hatching chicks will be crowded to the front, against other embryo eggs out of eggshell. Therefore the window should be shading and keep hatched chicks quite.
7.Prevent Dehydration. Survival rate will be influenced seriously when chicks dehydrated. And it is irreversible. So it is not good to put chicks processing room.

Healthy chicken manure is the mixture of dung and urine, no soft no hard ,most shapes are cylindrical or strip, brownish green, there is a uric acid salt at one end of the manure, no odor. In the morning the first manure is paste shape,, yellow brown, is a normal one. The color appeares no normal if the chicken are sick, so we can observe the manure color to check if the birds are sick generally .
White manure
When the manre are yellow white or gray white paste , not forming, generally may be the result of pullorum disease or fowl cholera. Pullorum disease show: the manure is sticky and thick, calciform shape, stick to the birds, no easy to out. When the avian cholera happen, the chicken often have severe diarrhea, manre is gray white. Chicken manure is white or yellowish white, water shape, and mixed with white uric acid salt particles ,may is infectious bursal disease, is also can be no appetite, paralysis and uremia. In addition, inclusion body hepatitis, paratyphoid Infections, egg drop syndrome, green pus and so on, are can be show white watery manure. If the manure are white ,like milk , watery ,more common is mucosal congestion, mild enteritis or Vibrio hepatitis.
Bloody manure

If manure is red, mostly becuase of fecal coccidiosis . One month old chicks has red manure, usually occurs coccidiosis. If young chikcken get acute hepatitis ,their manre is red. Late Karnofsky leukocytozoon disease will have blood manurel. Coccidiosis, tapeworm disease, ascariasis and enteritis recovery period of chicken can also cause bloody manure, the manure show red meat color , like rotten meat. In addition, inorganic or organic toxicants poisoning can cause intestinal bleeding and have manure blood. Necrotic enteritis, Newcastle disease, mold corn poisoning can also cause this illness. Above diseases, coccidiosis have bright red manure ,esay to know, other need to check carefully . Generally ,if the manure are dark red, black or tea black ,common in the upper gastrointestinal bleeding, manure was red or bright red, more common in the lower gastrointestinal bleeding.
Black manure
Black manure is one of bloody maure. because the black manure often due to gastrointestinal front such as caused by blood loss from the duodenum, small intestine, the appearance show black tea or black ,was occult blood. If the stool was rust colored water and mixed with urate, in Newcastle disease early poisoning cause serious hemorrhage of digestive tract. In addition, rotten fish meal poisoning caused by gizzard erosion will cause black manure too..
Green manure

Green manure is due to the shedding of bile and intestinal cells , the most common reason is newcastle disease. Chicken generally pull thick fetid green loose manurel, showing dark green, and accompanied by depression, loss of appetite, breathing difficulties and other symptoms, late neurological symptoms, reducing the eggs and other symptoms. In addition, fowl cholera, white blood cells of protozoal disease can also cause green manure, colibacillosis, Marek's disease and leukemia and lymphoma, fowl typhoid, chicken chlamydiosis, laryngotracheitis and other can cause green manure too. If the chicken eat excessive grass powder feed, will make the manure green, but this kind of maure is dry hard, easy to seethe difference. 
Yellow manure

Histomoniasis can lead to the chicken dejecta. Apricot yellow stool  generally caused by streptococcus. inclusion body hepatitis caused by pale yellow water . Yellow and white stool can be caused by infectious disease or chicken. Yellow or brown dung loose stool by furazolidone poisoning. Yellow sulfur on the surface of the manure  with yellow or yellowish brown urine, more common in the blind enteritis, hepatitis.

Hatching chicks divided into natural hatching and artificial hatching.

Hatching period is about 21 days, 18 days off the disc,7 days lighting eggs,usually in room temperature effects hatching time maybe early or delay. Natural hatching have hen hatching,save labor,and provide suitable temperature and humidity,but it not suit for large scale hatching eggs.The appropriate temperature and humidity control can affect the hatching rate of eggs directly. So choose suitable hatching technology,through artificial control hatching environment can improve the hatching egg rate.

Firstly, choose the eggs in one week.(best in 3 days to 4 days)

2,To do some disinfection before hatching, disinfected generally have two methods: one is with potassium permanganate and formalin sterilizing (their dosage is 15 grams of potassium permanganateand 30ml of formalin / per cubic meter)

3,hatching

Incubator temperature regulation is 38 degrees, it is recommended with high quality incubator, constant temperature and humidity, so after 19 days will hear chicks in the eggshell thin weak call invoice, which means they will hatches. so removal egg tray and put the eggs in the incubator.
After 19-21 days or so, the chick will break the shell and out of it! Before this can be used to illuminate the egg with a small lamp, you will see there are many red blood vessels in the egg ! 4,matters need attention

Appropriate to reduce the temperature and control temperature between 37.1 degrees to 37.2 degrees


Good layers develop from healthy, well-bred chicks raised under good feeding and management programs. Buying the right type of chick is important for the most economical production. The best hens for egg production are the small-bodied commercial White Leghorn strains with a high rate of egg production that yields a lower production cost per dozen eggs. Some commercial brown egg-laying strains are now available that lay nearly as well as White Leghorns and are satisfactory for small-flock production. Consider raising both some good egg-type pullets and some broiler crosses for meat, rather than trying to use a dual-purpose breed that isn't best for either purpose.
Housing requirements for brooding and rearing chicks and pullets can be quite minimal if done in late spring and summer. Almost any small building that meets the floor-space requirements for the desired-size flock can be used. A small number of chicks can even be brooded in a corner of a garage. After the brooding period, pullets can be reared in a fenced range or yard with only a covered shelter for protection from the weather.
Brooding, feeding, and watering equipment can be purchased from local feed and farm supply outfits or mail-order houses. Much of the equipment can be home-built. Used equipment may be available locally from farmers who no longer keep poultry. Usually, three sizes of feed hoppers are recommended so that birds, as they are growing, can easily eat without wasting feed.
Health and Sanitation Practices is very important for the chicks.Isolation from other birds is the first rule in preventing disease. Restrict unnecessary traffic of people and pets into the poultry house. If different ages of chickens are present on the farm, physically separate the flocks as much as possible and care for the younger birds first.
Clean water equipment daily and periodically wash with a sanitizing solution. Maintain litter in good condition and remove caked and wet spots. Add additional litter as necessary. Adjust ventilation to avoid moisture and ammonia build-up in the house.
