Phones › Re: Launch Of 4G Lte Network In Nigeria The Way Backward by dotbawse: 12:41pm On Sep 08, 2016 |
Please note that Data throttling does not apply for ntel at all. mp3center: Prior to Ntel launch this year everyone was anticipating and excited that we would get 4g on our mobile phones after a long wait, they unveiled their data plans then i concluded that they are not ready for Nigeria.
Now, Mtn came with the idea of launching theirs after the successful acquisition of Visaphone. It was another way to show superiority to other Network Providers.
Again when the data plans where unveiled i reached another conclusion that they are jokers.
Below are the Summary of Their Data Plans:
Ntel 4G LTE Data Plans
Smart Phone Starter – #1,000 -Unlimited Data, 30 minutes voice call, SMS – VALID FOR 3 DAYS.
Standard Plan – ₦2,400 – Unlimited Data, 70 minutes voice call, SMS – VALID FOR 7 DAYS
Monthly Plans – #9,000 – Unlimited Data, 300 minutes voice call, SMS – VALID FOR 30DAYS.
Note: Data throttling applies
MTN 4G LTE DATA PLANS 1. 100MB for N500 2. 150MB for N449 3. 200MB for N1000 4. 42GB for 12 months @ N66,499. 5. Unlimited for one month N36,999
To me they only want to enslave us as they did years back, its no coincidence that Mtn 4g lte data ia similar to what their normal plans were before they were forced to review it due to Glo competition.
I understand what 4g lte means since you can get Tecno W3 without 4g chip for 27,500Naira and the one with 4g Chip for 22,800Naira.
But why are we retrograding, it is clear that they had no intention of reviewing their normal data plans if not for the competition they received, and in this case Ntel is their major competition but they would edge them because of non-avaliability of Ntel Network all over the country.
Well, if you were thinking launching of 4g lte by this Network providers is the way forward, Please take a minute to rethink as this is the height of hypocrisy and we are only RETROGRADING.

Mtn is even worse. It supports just band 20(800mhz) while ntel supports band 3 and 8 (900 and 1800mhz respectively). Most of the phones in this region are band 3 and 8 compatible. OBAGADAFFI: I hope they will support lots of LTE devices, unlike NTEL that keeps rejecting devices from their LTE network. |

I think you should try out ntel 4G-LTE Advanced...it is superbly superb. I'm sure mtn can never meet up with their standard amagunnerfan: Not a fan of MTN but I am hoping against hope that their service for 4G LTE will be top notch and not overly expensive.
Maybe then the likes of spectranet, Swift and Smile will seat up. We need the competition, we need it badly. |
Phones › Re: Ntel Internet Speedtest Abuja by dotbawse: 7:49am On Jul 15, 2016 |
Spectranet gives you unlimited for 1am-7am and ntel gives you 24hours unlimited....with speed of 62mbps at times or 20mbps with just 1 bar...and ntel is 4G/LTE-A not just spectranet 4G/LTE comeandmarry: Don't be deceived, theres nothing like 4g,its only fast cause its limited to certain states n customers. When it officiallu reaches all states of yhe the federation, e go slow pass glo. Na only spectranet I respect due to 1am to 7am unlimited tins..
All network are scams. They reduce price of data and made the browsing speed very slow. Esp mtn,glo and airtel. Browsing speed na 0KB/s to 100KB/s For those network
When spectranet dey deliver mb per second
Abegi.scams everywhere.
I af almost 30 gig on glo but e no fit finish cause na gprs speed in a 4G zone.I only browse at nite, cause.d slow speed for day time fit make me break my system in anger Useless country
Ntel go soon enta gprs speed. No make dia fake ass Internet speed deceive you o
We r still undeveloped |

Type the codes in lower case it would bring up the engineering page. If u use capital letters it wont pop up anything. Had the same challenge as well. saint2ace: Thanks boss, I do appreciate; unfortunately I couldn't get into the engineering screen, got the code generated but after saving the page and restarting; I entered the code generated but nothing happened.
Read up more but seems it's a pressing issue that hasn't really been addressed.
Once again thanks for your time. |

Thanks for the info...it was really helpful because i could not use it with my Z30 as well..but now working *cheers* dustmalik: I have encountered that problem on a Z30. What i did was to access the Engineering screen, and then used ntel as the default APN.
If you don't know how to access the engineering screen, follow the guide on Crackberry. here is the link http://crackberry.com/how-access-engineering-screen-blackberry-10 |

Mac16: Please Is anybody browsing with ntel here? Because I have been unable to browse for the past 1 week, my network just keep fluctuating per second. I'm using it right now as well to browse. maybe your bundle has expired and you need to top up...because if your data has expired that's when your network fluctuates or if there is a network downtime in your area. |

henryskywalker2003: Yeah, you read that right. The wait is finally over. Ntel has launched in Lagos. I got mine today at their office on the 17th floor, Necom Building, Marina. Unfortunately, there is no network at my place so, I can only use it around my office for now. There is no voice service for now, only data and you must buy a bundle as you pick up the sim.
Those interested can head over to Marina and purchase or pick up previously reserved sims
You can read more here https://thotsontech..com.ng/2016/05/ntel-launches-silently-in-lagos.html.
P.S. I will be posting screenshots of the speedtest tomorrow. Please how genuine is this information? can we just walk in and buy our sims? |

Wadosky: this their message is not clear at all,i have had their sim since first day ,meaning am one of the pioneers but i have not gotten a smartphone compatible with their network.i wonder how the above message applies to me. If you don't have a 4G phone you can suspend your line so as to be able to enjoy it when you get your phone. but if you have a 4G device, suspension ain't really necessary because their voice calls (VoLTE) isn't available for now but you will enjoy unlimited data for as long as u have an active subscription within 90 days. |
