girlfio: As long as they were the same documents and you are simply including them to draw the attention of the ECO to points that were missed during the initial application then there should be no problem if they are included.

I don't believe there is a form but maybe somebody on this forum that has recently done an administrative review can advise if the process has changed. From my understanding you send an email to the attention of the ECM to the same office where your application was processed. You make your points clear and give reasons why the decision made does not reflect your suitability for the visa.
Yes i found this form as Administrative Review form here http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/visas/admin-review-request.pdf

Vicjustice: Is your marriage certificate from the UK or from Nigerian?
If it is from the UK, you don't need to "legalise" it, all you need to do is to have it endorsed with apostile and that will make it a valid tender in every EU state. But if it is from Nigeria, you have to also get it endorsed with the certificate of authentication from the ministry of foreign affair or a Nigerian Embassy before it can be used for international purpose: but i am not sure of the N100.000 fee or whether the fee is particular to the embassy of Italy
Vicjustice, pls what do you think a friend can do in this case.

A friend was granted UK visa 6 month in 2012 September. In her application she stated she will spend 2 weeks and that she will stay in a hotel. She also claim she did not have relative and does not know anyone in the UK.

When she visited the UK she did not stay at the hotel but with another friend who is working full time and has residency and she spent 6 weeks with her instead of the 2 weeks she told them at the embassy during her first application.

She applied for renewal she was refused on this basis. She told them that since her visa is valid for 6 month she decided to spend more than 2 weeks, but she did not mention where she stay since they did not ask where she stayed for the 6 weeks. So the renewal application was refused.

She use her uncle as sponsor and she provided a landed property on her name, and she has a child in 9ja.

She reapply again and still she was refused and on the basis that she did not provided original school Id.card and letter from school did not clear.

She corrected it and reapply for the third time, they refused her again, they said because she stated in ehr first application that she will be spending 2 weeks but she spend 6 weeks, they said how did she survived the 6 weeks, indirectly where she stayed for he 6 weeks.

I wonder why where she stayed must be questioned since she did not overstay her visa?

Can she reapply or go for Administrative review?

I as thinking if she go for administrative review she wont be allowed to provide new document, and i believe that if she has to go for administrative review i think letter from the friend that accommodated her for the two weeks is needed and her immigration status and proof of what she's doing in the UK. Now she's saying she met the friend at airport when she was about to go to her hotel in London and her friend decided to accommodate her for 2 weeks and when the 2 weeks completed she herself decided to spend more than 6 weeks and her friend was happy with it.

What do you think she can at this stage?

Thank you

TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by dotcomnamename: 3:40pm On Dec 04, 2013
girlfio: Visitors visa's have a limited right of appeal if refused. Your options are to either appeal if you feel that the decision made was in violation of your human rights or you can request an administrative review. In both cases you cannot submit any additional evidential documents to support your case. With an administrative review in particular you will need to highlight which documents have already been submitted that prove your suitability for the visa in question. If this cannot be easily done then as long as u meet the requirements, it may be better to repackage your application and submit a new one.
Ok thank you, but can the applicant attached copy of her documents along with the Administrative review? I mean copy of the documents already been submitted when the applicant was refused?

My last question is: Does administrative review has application form? or just by writing?

Must the administrative review lodge to the exactly High Commission where the application was refused? I mean if the application was treated in Lagos, must the review sent to Lagos? or it can be sent to Abuja or Lagos?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by dotcomnamename: 3:09pm On Dec 04, 2013
girlfio: It all depends on your situation. If you were refused for reasons that you did not meet in your application but now, in the fullness of time, you do, then a fresh application is the way to go. If nothing has changed and you are now required to evidence your suitability then the appeal route is the best option.

I generally favour the appeal process, although it takes a long time, at least you know what you are dealing with and u risk them finding something else to refuse you on if u put in a new application. I'd rather wait a while, save my money and prove them wrong.
What about General Visitor's visa applicant, and you're sure that the ECO was the one made mistakes in his decisions, do you think a review is not the best option instead of appealing it?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by dotcomnamename: 2:44pm On Dec 04, 2013
Justwise, pls what is the best option to follow after a Visit Visa was refused.

The applicant was granted 6 month UK visa last year and she traveled to London once.
In her first application last year, she stated she wish to spend 2 weeks, but when she arrive in UK she spend 6 weeks and she returned to Nigeria.

3 months ago she applied for Renewal, she was refused on the basis that she stated in her first application that she will spend 2 weeks because she ended up spending 6 weeks. The officer also said she did not provide proof of asset, and that the balance amount in her sponsor account was not enough.

But the truth is: The balance in her sponsor account when she first applied and granted was N1million naira.
When she was granted 6 month at first, she provided proof of property she own, but this officer avoided to say this truth.
During her application renewal, the balance in her sponsor account was even higher than the balance in her first application, so the balance in her second application that was refused was N1.3 milion naira. They also said she did not provide original ID.card from her school, ofwhich she has already provided copy of her ID.card and a letter of identification from her school. She even attach her return ticket from UK when she visited last year. Upon all this, she was refused.

Recently she reapply again, and was refused again on the grounds that the balance in her sponsor account is was not enough for her trip. Could you imagine. The balance in her sponsor account was N1.7million, plus another different sponsor from her second uncle with balance of N300k, plus her own account though nothing there. She also provided original school ID.card with a new letter. Despite her lawyer explain fully to them that the visa officer reasons are all bunch of lies except the original student ID.card even though she provided photocopy of her student ID.card already.

Her first application that was granted was treated in Abuja, but since then the ones they keep refusing has been treated in Lagos.

Now, what do you think she should do?

I was thinking maybe she should lodge an administrative review and send it to Abuja where her first application was granted?

Do you think Administrative review is the best option or she should Appeal or Reapply?

Thank you.

This is even a proof of Hand Registered Domain elliot registered and sold so quick

I wanted to share a fun anecdote, especially because it involves a domain name I hand registered.
As my domain registrar account managers can attest, I don’t hand register many domain names. Annually, I might hand register between 20-50 domain names. It’s such an irregular occurrence these days, I don’t really even track the number of domain names I hand register.
On July 9th, I hand registered 5 domain names in the same vertical (they are international geodomain keyword domain names). I own similar domain names, and I bought these to increase my holdings in that space. I don’t think they are exceptionally valuable, but for hand registrations, they were worth the gamble, especially since one of the 5 names has received a couple of offers in the past.
On July 11th, I received an offer for one of the domain names I hand registered. I hadn’t sent out any emails, and the buyer found the domain name was for sale via the Domain Name Sales landing page. The buyer is legit, although the offer isn’t a home run (under $1,000). It would be a solid ROI if I sold it all things considered, but it’s not worth the effort to sell it for his offer.
Since the domain name can’t be transferred to a different domain registrar within the first 60 days of registration, it’s not worth the hassle of transacting at the offer price.
In any case, I thought it was pretty neat to get an offer so quickly after hand registering a domain name. Have you experienced the same thing where you received an inquiry so shortly after registering a domain name?

RomanceRe: Nigerian Men Abroad Prefer Marrying From Home? - Why? by dotcomnamename: 12:11pm On Dec 03, 2013
sexkillz: I noticed that too. And it hardly goes down well, in my opinion.

Why is because those men want someone they can easily control. "sit down here and don't move" and she obeys. The girls there are deemed unsubmissive, and independent. That independence factor drives them nuts. The ladies know better, and know what respect from a man means and would not tolerate trampling on what they perceive to be their fundamental human rights. The men that think this way are usually selfish and egotistical although they might not show it. They think only about how they'll benefit from a "tamed" and "naïve" home grown lady. Now, he's coming home to look for a wife, but he has forgotten now that because he lives abroad, it'll be very difficult to find a lady who loves him for love and not for his money or his "abroadness".

He meets a girl who puts on her best behaviour because, all she can see is her prospects of going abroad.. She is also selfish in this regard and will not show it. When they finally get married and she leaves Nigeria, and the euphoria of getting abroad wears off, you see this same lady displaying her real color. Now she also wants to be independent after her eye don open and she don see as e dey go. The man will see her as unsubmissive and rude and now he is back to where he started from, if not worse.

The devil you know is better than the angel you do not know. Most of those girls they eventually marry are people who were recommended for them, and in most cases, the ones doing the recommending are in cahoots with the lady to dupe them. A lot of negative stories abound. . . There's a lot of eye-shining to be done.

Exactly what i wanted to say.
different tins work for different pros
For instance, handreg do work for me than dropped, so fingers are not equal...

so as the thing that worked for you might not work for me..

You can reg a dropped domain today sell it within 48 hours for $3k
You can as well handreg a domain today and wont sell until Jesus come
However, same dropped domain might be your portfolio decoration for decade, while handreg might just sell within hours or days
So i believe different tins work for different domainers whether pro or not...

Taking Less Money is a Difficult Decision

When I am in the process of evaluating a domain name to buy, I will “appraise” it in my head. This appraisal is very basic and consists of two numbers – what I think I could get for it should the right buyer come around and what I am sure I could get for it if I wanted to sell it quickly.
I’ll give you a quick example to illustrate how I consider the value of an acquisition. I think I could sell Drafting.com for $75,000 if the right buyer comes around, and I am very confident I could sell it at this moment for $18,000 if I wanted to liquidate it for some reason. You may have a differing opinion, but these numbers are what helps define my personal risk tolerance when buying a domain name, and we all have various levels of tolerance based on our businesses.
One issue most of us face is that sometimes the best and most obvious buyer for a domain name inquires about it, but he (or the company) doesn’t have the ability or interest in spending close to the value you hold for the domain name. For instance, a major CAD software company might want to buy Drafting.com, but the most they will spend is $30,000.
When this happens, I need to consider a few things to determine whether I should sell the domain name to this company for their best offer, or if I should hang on to the domain name and hope that a company with deeper pockets inquires or the company decides to up their offer at a later point.

In a situation like this, there are several things I consider:

Do I want the cash instead of the domain name?

What are the tax implications of selling?

Can I improve my domain portfolio by selling this name and replacing it with another domain name?

If I see this on DNJournal’s sales report, would I think “wow, that was cheap?”

How many inquiries have I had on this domain name?

What are the odds that someone else will want to buy it for more money in the future?

Could I be wrong about my valuation of the domain name?

Have I already contacted other prospective buyers without any interest?

Although my business relies on the sale of domain names for the majority of its cash flow, I am probably not going to sell a domain name at a price I will regret in the future. However, there are times that it’s in my company’s best interest to sell a domain name for less than I think it’s worth.
