Education › How Can I Reduce My Photo Size Without Losing Quality? by doubleecho(op): 10:46am On Jan 31
Good day everyone

This is a problem many of us face, especially when trying to send pictures via WhatsApp, email, or online forms. You take a clear photo, but once you try to share it — “file too large”

Here are a few simple and effective ways to reduce photo size without noticeable quality loss:

1️⃣ Use proper compression

Good compression reduces file size by removing unnecessary data while keeping the image sharp. The trick is using tools that allow controlled compression, not random resizing.

2️⃣ Resize to what you actually need

Most photos from phones are far larger than needed. If you’re not printing, reducing dimensions slightly can cut file size massively without affecting how it looks on screen.

3️⃣ Convert to a better format

Sometimes the issue isn’t the image itself, but the format. Converting between JPG, PNG, or WebP can reduce size while keeping clarity.

4️⃣ Avoid screenshots of images

Screenshots often increase size and reduce quality. Always work with the original image if possible.

If you’re using Android, there is this simple app I use called IMGIFY that can help you:

> Compress photos properly

> Resize images easily

> Convert between formats

You can find it by searching IMGIFY on Google Play Store.

If anyone has other tips or tools they use, feel free to share — we all learn from each other here

Programming › Tired Of “file Too Large” When Uploading Pictures? by doubleecho(op): 9:45pm On Jan 25
If you use WhatsApp, email, or social media, you’ve probably faced this:

1. Image too big to send

2. Wrong format (WebP, HEIC, etc.)

3. Picture looks blurry after sharing

I built a simple Android app called IMGIFY to fix this problem — no computer needed.

What IMGIFY helps you do:

✅ Compress images without ruining quality
✅ Convert image formats (JPG, PNG, WebP, etc.)
✅ Resize pictures to exact dimensions
✅ Works offline (no data, no uploads)
✅ Very easy to use, even for non-tech people

Perfect for:

1. WhatsApp & Telegram sharing

2. Email attachments

3. Online forms that reject large images

4. Social media uploads

I made it because I personally got tired of struggling with image sizes on my phone.

If this sounds useful to you, search “IMGIFY” on Google Play Store, try it out, and let me know what you think.
Your feedback helps me improve it

I’ll be active here to answer questions or take feature suggestions.

Mabuggi88:
It doesn't not, I just downloaded and tried many times. All dimensions remain the same. Both compression and resizing none is working.
I wanted to make my image smaller in size while retaining all parts but your APP doesn't do that
I am sorry for your poor experience. There was a server maintenance that was why. The server is up and running now. You can proceed to carry out your operations.
Phones › Android Users: How Do You Reduce Picture Size Before Sending On Whatsapp? by doubleecho(op): 10:07pm On Jan 24
Good day house

Quick question for Android users here — how do you normally reduce picture size before sending on WhatsApp or email?

Most times when I try to send pictures, I get that annoying “file too large” message, especially when sending multiple photos or high-quality images.

Because of this, I recently built a small Android app called IMGIFY that helps with:

1. Compressing images to reduce file size

2. Converting image formats (JPG, PNG, etc.)

3. Resizing pictures directly on the phone

No internet is required and there’s no need for a computer. Just pick the image, choose what you want to do, and you’re done.

I’m sharing this here mainly for people who deal with image issues often. If you try it and it helps you, an honest Play Store review would mean a lot, as it helps improve the app and reach more users.

You can find it on the Play Store by searching IMGIFY.

I’d also like to hear how others here currently handle image compression on their phones, or if there are features you’d like to see added.

I recently launched Imgify, a simple Android app that helps you:

* Reduce image size easily

* Change image format (JPG, PNG, etc.)

* Resize pictures quickly

It works perfect, is very easy to use, and doesn’t require a computer.

I’m sharing this here in case it helps anyone. If you try it and find it useful, please leave an honest review on the Play Store — feedback helps improve the app.

You can find it by searching Imgify on the Google Play Store.
