life got no meaning anymore. when you are poor you are doomed in Nigeria, nothing works for you, you will keep doing your best all times, but instead of getting compensated, frustration keeps crawling in every time, Dad is gone, mummy hasn't been paid for over 15 months now, writing and passing jamb for two consecutive years, yet no admission given because no money to wave in, Bad government bad everything, nothing works in this part of the world when you are poor, Daddy served diligently in the civil service for 25 years, yet he is been owed for over 17 months, he wasn't paid while he was alive, is it now that he is dead ? Days keeps going, mummy is growing old, my dreams are crumbling before me, she is striving to hold, but all our collective efforts are been pulled down because we are not rich, sometimes frustration forced me to ask " if there's God" Yes He exists just that your time hasn't come yet, but when is that time, am I pushing too hard? mummy is ageing ,Daddy is gone, I had the ambition of building house for my parents yet am almost 20 still hasn't got a glimpse of hope of admission, Suicide has become frequent thoughts, but for mummy sake I wish I wouldn't, but what is life worth living for when your dreams and ambitions are crashing before you. Sometimes I blame not too fast those who terrorises our leaders who don't care about the conditions of their followers, Nigeria is a failed country, we are not matured to rule ourselves, I wish we could be colonised again, yes our colonisers will steal our resources but at least they have feelings unlike our leaders. |

NAN reports that the polling station was one of the designated centres for Saturday’s Enugu state local government election. READ ALSO: Nigerians react to Buhari’s approval for Ekwueme to be flown abroad for medical treatment The command’s spokesperson, SP Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development in an interview with NAN in Enugu on Saturday, said that two persons were wounded. Amaraizu also said that a tricycle was destroyed by the minor explosion which occurred at a workshop about 400 metres near the entrance of a polling station at Coal Camp. “There is no cause for alarm as the command’s Explosive Ordinance Department (EOD) is already at the scene of the incident. “The polling station close to the scene is still having voters patiently waiting to exercise their franchise. “It is just a coincidence happening on the day of election. “The command, however, is assuring members of the public that the cause of the minor explosion will be thoroughly investigated,” he said. Sad story of how a young boy was set ablaze in Enugu for misplacing a phone in his care kemifilani.com Sep 28, 2017 10:14 AM A young boy was yesterday burnt to death in Enugu for allegedly leaving a barber shop where a phone had gone missing. A certain Wisdom Kelechi had poured petrol on his friend, Junior Onah and set fire on him. Onah’s sin according to Guardian was that he left a shop where a mobile phone had been placed in his care to charge. On returning to the shop, Kelechi could not find the phone. Livid at the loss of the phone, he went out and returned with a gallon of fuel, which he poured on his friend and set him on fire. Onah was rescued by people, but sustained severe burn injuries and is still battling for his life at the hospital. The police in Enugu, according to Guardian has since arrested Kelechi. Ebere Amaraizu, police PPRO in the state speaking on the incident said: “The suspect has been promptly arrested by police operatives and he is helping in the investigation just as the victim was rescued with severe burns and taken to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment,” Amaraizu explained.
