HDD is old technology. this laptop uses a SSD.

they might be lower in capacity but more efficient in functionality. Laptops with SSD are silent and consume less power. Thats why Macbook Air use them.

If you're really interested. You buy the laptop and upgrade the RAM. it is upgradeable to 8gb
