@teaser! I payd mine at zenith bank ilorin branch n confirmation was b4 24 hours n accomodation fee was at wema bank dis morning, n confirmation was immediate. At teaser n odas dat paid n yet to pay or still waiting for confiramation, GOD will not let dem rest or av peace of mind untill dey confirm u all. SAY AMEN

so happy to av confirmed all my payments today, paid at wema bank(dou dat wema bank nids to be scrapd out if i was d cbn gov,dey lack d facilites) dey confirmd d payment right in d bank in d morning. anyone complain of angola hostel den it means d person did not do pre degree at our great MORO VILLA or had a good hostel during pre degree days. am an ex predyte of EGM combination, adedeji hostel ipetumodu, veri far frm d sch n u spend money evry day coz u enter d so called ALAKE or KOROPE, no water,no light for months,dirty environment,un comfortable hostel-"we were over 6 in a small room",pity toilet n open bathroom et cetra! so thatis why we r africans(Nigerians), we will all adapt in good time. Friends, its 2 more days to enter  that place called school! I have been given accomodation too at Angola block B1 , i was not surprised with d angola stuff, we r there for a reason! For does in kwara state, payment for hostel has commenced at WEMA bank Taiwo branch dis aftnoon but i will be going to pay mine 2mao morning sha! He said why oau has refused to resume n still not resumin any soon is because they av not completed last academic calender and dey av not concluded it which they av to do. He said dey av to complete marking n prepare d result before a new academic year that I should find something to do coz oau is not resuming any soon or next week, he said late feburary or early march!!

Students of Ajayi Crowther
University, Oyo yesterday went
on rampage in response to
series of neglect by the school
authorities . The invited the
police to face students of a
private university, this caused the
students to go rampage. A
female student fainted as a result
of tear gas shot at them.
It was said that basic needs of
the students have not been
provided to them despite paying
for everything to the sum of five
hundred thousand naira
(500,000).
Trouble started when late ABU
ELVIS PAUL, complained of a
headache was admitted at the
health center and placed on
medication. His friends asked
that he should be taken to a
hospital in town but the medical
personnel at the university
declined, it was suspected that
the university ambulance was
faulty that’s why the request was
turned down. He later died.
Students gathered around the
medical center discussing the
regular poor treatment they get
at the health center. They
complained the health center
lacks drugs to treat even malaria
and the CMD has told them
several times to go buy drugs
outside the school despite
paying fifteen thousand naira
per semester for medical
services.
They also complain about paying
high school fees but not getting
value for their money, their
hostel has power and water
issues and most students have
claimed to go to class without
bathing due to unavailability of
water at the hostels,
The VC addressed the students
but was unable to calm them
down as they went on rampage
and started destroying
properties, starting with
Mercedes 200 car belonging to a
lecturer, they went ahead to
destroy the CMD’s car and the
already spoilt university
ambulance.
They then proceeded to set the
departments of economics,
accounting and banking &
finance on fire. They also set on
fire a store called “charis store”
belonging to the VC’s personal
assistant’s wife.

Timothy Jayeoba and the
registrar is Dr. Mrs. Josephine
Oyebanji.
Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, is

The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Tuesday said its national Executive Council would decide on when it would call off its ongoing strike.
ASUU President, Prof. Ukachuwkwu Awuzie, who stated this to journalists in Abuja after a meeting with the Federal Government, said the decision would be made by the NEC.
He declined to provide the date of the NEC meeting but there are indications that it might hold on Wednesday.
The Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufai, expressed optimism that the strike would be called off at the NEC meeting.
The strike began on December 4, 2011 afte an earlier one-week warning strike.
On its Twitter handle on Tuesday, ASUU had stated that the strike was borne out of the conviction that the university system must be run properly.

It also stated that the union’s president would table government’s proposal before the NEC, which would then decide on whether to continue with the strike or call it off.
Some of the earlier tweets are, “The FG (Federal Government) must meet all our demands before we call off the strike. As soon as issues are resolved, ASUU NEC will meet and address the press. Let us hope the FG will see reasons with us.
“Education is a right not a privilege. It must be funded properly. We understand the pains our students are going through but we all must sacrifice so that the educational system won’t die. The Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie-led exco won’t betray the struggle for the betterment of Nigeria’s education sector.

“We are working to resolve the impasse. We are going to the meeting with the FG with the interest of the education sector alone.”
On the demands for academics to retire at 70 and proper funding of universities, ASUU tweeted, “The intellectual capabality of a man is not determined by the age. Profs retiring at 70 will prevent brain-drain in the system. What is the essence of a tertiary institution with ill-eqquiped laboratories?”
The union is demanding the implementation of its 2009 agreement with the Federal Government, which comprises a review of laws that impinge on university autonomy, a separate salary structure for academic staff in the universities, earned allowances to entitled academic staff and pension for university academics and compulsory retirement age
