Travel / Re: Lagos-Calabar Road: Realignment, Flyovers To Connect Lekki Port, Refinery by Dpharisee: 6:31am On Apr 29
Existing inter state highways across the country in very bad shape causing fatal accidents and incidences of robbery but we should be focused on a coastal road that will not be finished in the next 20 years awarded to cronies without competitive bidding for N15T.

Afromalaika:

Obedient, present Sir.
Common sense used to be attributed to Igbos on this forum now it has been changed to Obidients, how many fatal accidents use to make FP on Nairaland every week due to bad roads, because E never reach you doesn't mean that all is well, we can start with a national interstate roads emergency worth N15T and after we achieve that we focus on a long-term coastal road, how's that difficult?

The investment was facilitated by Peter Obi's NEXT company and then paid with Anambra state money.

Anambra state is a shareholder in Sabmiller the makers of Hero and Trophy beers

Who's moving all these reno topics to frontpage of late?

This seems like a well coordinated disinformation/diversionary campaign aimed at putting the opposition in constant defense mode, and largely being helped by an APC moderator on Nairaland.

Peter Obi is not in Government.

That's the exact plan, even Tinubu topics are not making FP back to back like Reno against Obi

Foreign Affairs / Re: Burkina Faso Suspends BBC, Voice Of America For Two Weeks by Dpharisee: 11:26am On Apr 26
Good one, many people don't know that Nigeria civil war was started by BBC broadcast in Hausa service from Kaduna telling northerners that Igbos were slaughtering northerners in Enugu, anger flayed up and the pogrom against Igbos started leading to the killings of hundreds of thousands of Igbos residing in the North.

At the end it turned out to be fake news, there was no massacre of northerners in Enugu, the northerners killed were political leaders (Sardauna, Balewa and some military officers in theNorth and not in Enugu) by coup plotters led by Major Nzeogwu who didn't consult Igbos or Yorubas or their various tribes before carrying out the coup that was erroneously tagged "Igbo Coup" by the British Ambassador and spread wide by BBC.
The country is yet to come out of those well packaged hatred which has been passed on to generations even in this forum.

These African revolutionary leaders in Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali have done well by banning foreign media broadcasting directly from and to their people, Russia media is blocked in many European countries by the same people telling us about Press Freedom in Africa wink

I was deceived in 2011 by western media into thinking that Late Libyan leader Muamar Gaddafi was evil only to later find out that Libyans actually had the highest standard of living in Africa and far ahead of many European countries under Gaddafi, same way they lied about Saddam Hussein possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction that led to Iraq war and death of over a million Iraqis.

If CIA and MI6 want to start a riot in the North to achieve a particular aim such as putting the Govt under pressure or to discredit Tinubu for instance all they have to do is for BBC Hausa to broadcast that Yorubas are killing Hausas and Fulanis in Osogbo or Umuahia and they will start burning down Yoruba and Igbo businesses, that's the kind of control that Britain still retains over northern Nigeria using their BBC, ever wondered why for 8 Years the best interviews granted by Buhari was to BBC Hausa service which is later translated into English for us to discuss on Nairaland?

OAFMods:
Some of you igbos too de lie. When bbc start to work for naija that you claiming it started Nigeria civil. The BBC from British that your educated elite can barely hear is that what Almajiri will be listening to over there transistor radio in the 60s to start a civil war.
Sorry I am too advanced for your tribal rants on this platform, read through my comment again, it was meant for intelligent reviewers with open mind and not for close knitted bigots. Thanks

Be careful about Nairaland it can dull your brain, don't be too engrossed with this site, most times avoid the comments because you will keep reading the thought processes of a few commenters who virtually lives on this site 24hrs every day and they always occupy the front page either promoting or disparaging Peter Obi and Tinubu, they have nothing meaningful or information to positively impact your life.
Thanks and have a nice weekend
