Hi house! My respect to the Gurus on this forum! I thank God for the life of the owner(s) of this site and the creator(s) of this great, highly informative thread. May God reward you all abundantly.
My transcript: VO: are you Mr mysurname? Me: yes myfirstname VO: why did you choose UI? Me: I did cos, it's a prestigious institution, I will be able to benefit from a robust Xmsry Knowledge base courtesy of the professionals the dept boast of and I've got a research grp headed by Prof bla bla ... working on my area of research intr.( VO nodding while listening ) VO: you are married? Me: yes VO: are you going with your fam? Me: no, only me for now VO: got kids? Me: yes, VO: How many and age? Me: told her but gave wrong age. Instead of weeks, I said months. I thought of correcting it but I guess I was nervous VO: it has been approved Me: looking confused. VO: repeated herself, gave me I20, pick ur passport bla bla. That's all. Good luck! Me: still startled, I mumbled good luck LOL then said thank you and left slowly.
Tips: Guys pray well, and prepare well by going through this thread to see how to answer tricky questions.
I'll try to add more observations later. |

Classicalmusic: Don't be so scared. While in America, you have to pray continuously. Seems like some unscrupulous elements wanted to pinch you but they didn't get you. Pray always okay?
Now, the lady claimed that she gave you back the passport. You could have requested for camera view.
Your documents are so important. So do not play with them. I met a Nigerian man who wore a special pant for his passport and puts in there while sleeping in a hotel room. I asked Sir, what are you doing? He said my good son, if I put down my passport here while asleep, someone may just act funny and take it. I started laughing, the man was like you don't know that this passport is part of my life. Stay there and be asking me Jamb questions Guess it won't be a bad idea for one to keep photocopy of one's passport bio data page. Even some countries advice so, especially those with high crime rates. |

Walspring: Twice and i think the third one the person will forfeit it and pay for another visa fee Hi house. I think it's just one payment for one for interview schedule. you cancel you pay again to reschedule. I tried cancelling for the first time and got a warning that I would have exceeded the allowed limit if I go ahead and would have to pay MRV fee to reschedule. Ensure you pay attention to every detail on the screen. |
