I bought the expired domain yao.ng from Truehost Nigeria on 31 January 2026 (Invoice #460806). On 29 September 2026, Truehost Trust & Safety marked it "Fraud" and replaced the nameservers with no prior notice, no evidence and no chance to respond. I found no notice in my inbox or spam. My URL-shortener service was down for more than 24 hours.

NiRA told me the abuse report came through NetBeacon and was handled by Truehost as the sponsoring registrar. The only evidence they supplied was screenshots of a phishing page dated 26 June 2025, seven months before I registered the domain. The registrar could have checked the registration date before acting.

The domain was restored the same day and Truehost apologised on X for "the inconvenience". I have since filed a formal claim under ticket #4849929 and sent complaints to NiRA and the FCCPC. I have not yet received the written explanation, proof of notice or compensation I asked for.

Has anyone else had a .ng domain suspended or flagged without notice? What worked for you, and which channels responded (NiRA, FCCPC, NCC, NITDA)? I will post updates here.
