Justice League was far from being a Snyder film. The film you got was a butchered and pathetic version of Snyder's vision. Over 1 hour of Snyder footage was removed by Joss Whedon to make for a complete tonal shift from Chris Terri's story. Zack Snyder's name was only retained as director because of contract terms.

Zack Snyder early cut of JL was deemed "unwatchable" by DC/WB hence they sacked him and Joss Whedon was brought in to clean up the mess, but the disaster was too big to hide that's why it was a huge flop.
