.....hmmmnnnnnnn...... I think I may disagree because Ogun State is not a northern state where people are placed on worthwhile bursary to propel them to go to school. I applied for Aerodrome Fire Superintendent cadre and I strived to score 60% in da aptitude test despite the fact that I have gotten area of specialization. To my greatest surprise, my state (OGUN)was wiped off from da rolled out list for physical test and interview. Now, to make da plot to be smoothed, FAAN claimed to have updated this cadre by fabricating one name for my state! To be on da safe side, I didn't apply for this cadre with my M.Sc but FAAN gave me a waterloo which degenerated to dilemma. Why should 1:1 and 2:1 be competing wit 2:2, 3rd class, pass, respectively? Why studying hard in School when preference has been thrown to da gods. As it stands now in Nigeria, certificates grades are now things for the gods. An individual can just go to da university and do RUBBISH in course work, project, thesis, dissertation and still graduate and also competing in da world of work. WHERE IS NIGERIA HEADING?! Right now, I have deferred my Ph.D admission so I can explore da world of work judiciously since certificates and grades are USELESS! Today, Education is not Success at all, it is only Platform that is da priority! OHO! Sometimes, destiny torments and someone does not have choice than to resign to fate! Thus, mine has tormented me again!

GOD WILL PULL YOU THROUGH BROTHER. ITS GOOD TO DEFERE YOUR PHD AND GET A JOB AND GATHER ENOUGH EXPERIENCE AS YOU CAN. YOU CAN DO YOUR PHD LATER, AND TOGETHER WITH RELEVANT EXPERIENCE, THE SKY WOULD BE UR LIMIT.
EVEN IN LECTURING JOBS, ITS DIFFICULT TO GET A JOB WITH YOUR PHD IF U HAVNT GOTTEN PREVIOUS EXPERENCE IN LECTURING OR TECHING. SO TRY AND START WITH A JOB AND GOD WILL LIFT YOU TO HEIGHTS UNIMAGINABLE.

I think this call is for people whose names were shortlisted online but couldnt make it to the venue for interview and PFT for one reason or the other.It also says to disregard if u have attended ur pft and interview. The text also says to check the website and it is boldly written there."if u have have been shortlisted and havent attaended the interview, go to the nearest location to you".
So be sure about this before you go there.

I thnink they are calling candidates who were shortlisted but couldnt make it at the earlier stipulated dates.

Yazach, i got same too. Its pretty confusing. There seems to be a mix-up somewhere. It cant be a second interview.

If u read the message well it further says that u should disregard if u have done before.

Because the results of their assessment says they are not physically fit. That's the only criteria for screening pple out during the PFT.
And the height too I guess plus blood pressure.

They can't give u security cadet if u applied for. Security officer 11 gl-08. If u were given security cadet, then dats what u applied for mistakenly and thought u applied for security officer 11. That's a gl-06 postion.

Nope. The interview is the next day after the fitness. And only those dat passed d fitness test will receive a text invitation in the evening or night for the interview the next day. Its only the DMOs that won't do any physical, thiers is only interview.

You might suffer thesame fate. In any feferal govt. Job, the least level for a bachelors degree holder is GL-08. And it was clearly stated in the requirements when you were applying for the job.
So think about it. But if u believe in your annointing, u could go.

Got a better job, one that would not only fetch me good income but also task my brain. FAAN is a good place if u r the type that likes money without necessarily engaging urself mentally.

Is FAAN like oda federal government job wia there's nothing to do most of the time ? plus please whats the salary for graduate aerodrome fire officer 11. GL 08

How could one be going for an interview and ask weda they requested any document ?
My broda or sister take every paper work about ur life to the center, most important 5 copies of CV and a photocopy each of the credentials mentioned on the website.
Dress very well and be sharp.
There are no routine questions.
Questions are asked from any wia. Someone was asked the name of bokoharam leader.
Some one was asked to define acceleration, force.
Just know about every tin u wrote on ur CV and also about fire or security depending on what u applied for.
The most important tin is amswer what u were asked. The person interviewed before me was asked to tell about him self. And he just mentioned his name and university and started tellin how his course relates to security. He wasn't asked dat but becos he has been askin toomany questions from pple that came out before our group entered, he filled his head with answers to that and answered a question he wasn't asked.
And trust me, the interviewers won't fail to let u know u if u r goofing.
Also know the name of what u applied for as it is written on the website and not how u call it. E.g its aerodrome fire officer 11 not aerodrome fire fighter.
The most important tin is be ur self, be bold and pray. The questions come accordin to ur annointing and dat of the interviewers relative to u at that instant.
But try and know about what u applied for and how it relates to ur course.

You could go dia with ur mofty but have ur white shirts, shorts and canvass. Those successful after the fitness test would be texted later for interview the next day. -'m at the venue for the interview now

Conditions are different

I disagrre with all those that say FAAN is not transparent because they weren't shortlisted. They used a quoter system like every FG recruitment process and there are educationally less- developed states. So one could score 85 and if many pple in ur state score 90 and above and they need 11 from ur state, u might not make d cut and some other person who scored 60 from another state makes the list. That's how it works.
I scored 72 and made the AFO list. Pple dt scored higher didnt make it cos the performance in their state was higher, and pple scored less and made it from other states too.
As for the fitness test you'l jug a 2.5km distance, do sit ups and then press ups. Learn the situps without anybody holdin ur legs.
Your height would be measured too.
As for the doctors report, go into any Government hospital and c a doctor, it won't take u up to 30mins and u have his signature and stamp .
FAAN know their msg might have come in late so even if u are 5hours late, u'll be let in but try and be early.
I know no body at faan and d process has been fairly transparent.
So don't discourage ur self with the ogathetop syndrom.
Pple get these jobs without knowin no body upstairs and we could too. Good lucks to all of u .

[color=#006600][/color] Finally written the test. After so much stress, time and wasted resources (fuel and data)...scored 67% though. I believe FAAN must have learnt their lessons the hard way. Implementing innovation is not that easy but we improve on it. Nigeria is still a developing nation. We shall arrive and beat America someday.

hei guys i just finished mine. i was suposed to take for 1-2pm but couldnt access it. i tried now and it opened and when i clicked on the bold "take test" it told me that d test is no longer available. i tried severally but it told me thesame tin. then i saw a small tab below the "take test" that reads"'take exam". immediately i cliked on it it opened and i wrote my test smoothly and passed distinctionally. lol.
so guys when u eventually log in, clik rather on"take exam" and you will be directed uninterruptedly into the test .
Wish ya'll success ma fellow prospective AFOs.

The technical hitch experienced earlier on the site has been resolved, you can now write your test from 5pm today. Test can also be written through any internet ready phone.

There's hope for those that haven't taken test.

Omo them scam us for that 1-2pm oooo. i cheked thier website and there is no exam scheduled for thatb time. the 2 batches of AFO were scheduled for 11-12 and 12-1pm. but the useless pple sent me 1-2pm. u can immagine.

I was sent a reschedule text msg that i am to write on saturday by 1-2pm. but on thier website there is no schedule for 1-2pm. i am suposed to write for Aerodrome fire officer 11. i tried at 1-2pm but could not access the site and had error msg displays. i still havent gotten a text from them to reschedule. does anyone have thesame problem with me ?
