Good morning, Expert. Please, I need the brainbox. Can I get it from you? If yes, please you can reach me on WhatsApp @ 08033557822 Thanks. |
The first time I changed the gearbox was about 3 to 4 years ago. The gear was misfiring. It was also a selenoid-related problem after the car was scanned. The solenoid was repaired or replaced, but it however worsened. Then I was advised to replace the gearbox by my mechanic. This time around, the car was not moving well, with poor acceleration, especially on a hill. Each time I change the plug, it will improve for a moment and then go back to poor acceleration. Again, I scanned and was told it was selenoid, replaced, worsened, and I was told the gear fibre had been affected and advised to change gear. The rest is where I am today. Thank you. |
Thank you, I will do as advised. Pardon me, Sir. Please, in case I do not find a TCM part number with the exact last 2 alphabets"MF", will it be ok to use one with a different last 2 alphabets? |
Thank you, so much! I feel like my gearbox problem is half-solved. Thank you! I shall order a TCM with this code 01M 927 733 MF as recommended. Yes, you are correct, the car was bought from Canada. Please, should there be an error code, how can it be handled? Very sorry for my many questions. Thank you. |
Good afternoon, Expert. Thank you, so much for your kind response. About the electrical problem, when scanned, it shows either selenoid 4 or 7 open circuits; sometimes 3 open circuits. As regards the gearbox code, you may be correct. Like I said earlier, I do not know the code for the original gearbox that came with the car. Perhaps I should request the TCM part number you suggested. My VW Golf is specifically a "Golf City" 2.0L, 2007 model. Should there be any possible alteration with other golf made in the same year? Thank you, Sir. |
Below is the original brainbox currently in the car. Thanks.

Besides, the first time I replaced the gearbox, it was seamless, replaced and drove. |
I believe I do, sir, because the gearbox I am replacing has the code FDG 21053, and I used it for over 2 years without a problem. My engine has a 2.0L capacity. However, I do not know the code on the following come gearbox. This is the 2nd time I am replacing a gearbox, sir. I appreciate your response so far, sir. |
Thank you for your offer to help. I would have appreciated that. But unfortunately, I have already paid for another brainbox, and it's been difficult to get a refund. Please kindly help and provide me with a brainbox part number that will match my gearbox. Thank you, expert. |
The 3-coded letter on my VW Golf 4 replaced automatic gearbox is FDG 15012 EJ2PVSR. 2007 model. Please help me with a compatible brainbox for the new gearbox Thank you so much. |
Please, I am still waiting for help/response regarding my VW Golf 4, 2007 model gearbox brainbox number. Please help me. |
Hello, please, my VW Golf 4, Mode 2007 with VIN: 9BWEL2IJ374010871, has a gear problem. It is not able to be select/transmit properly with ppor acelaration, and the initial scan pointed to solenoid problems, which was changed, but the problem persisted. I changed to a new Belgium gearbox twice, yet the same selenoid problem persisted at each attempt. Further assessment by an electrician revealed it might be a gear brainbox problem. I have been faced with the challenge of getting a brainbox that will match the car/gearbox. Each brainbox tasted so far revealed different selenoids, 3, 4, and 7 open circuits when scanned. For example, the last brainbox used showed selenoid 7 open-circuit. My original brainbox part number is 01 M927 733 MR. Kindly help me with the brainbox code to match the new Belgium gearbox. Thank you so much as I await your response. Cassidy. |
I appreciate your response, I will rescan and post the code. |
Good morning. Please help! I drive a VW Golf 4, 2.0 engine, 2004 model. Recently, I noticed the car did not fire well, I took it to my mechanic, who scanned it and told me it was a gear transmission problem, specifically the solenoid. That I was driving only on gear 3. The mechanic claimed he ordered a "Belgium" solenoid with its body valves. After replacing the solenoid on my body valves and the car scanned, it was noticed the transmission was jerky on gear selection and subsequently went into a leap mood (steady on gear 3). Now, my mechanic feels it's no longer the solenoid issue but that my gear fibres are faulty, hence not having a good connection with the "changed" selenoid. Please, Car talk, kindly help me! Thank you. |
