Biodun1929: I picked her up from one dark road around Olowu in Ikeja, and then she asked me to make a detour that she wants to buy something. The girl was young...probably like 21 or 22, and dressed like a tomboy. She wasnt the regular kind of girls i pick up at that time of the night, Omo...na so we make a few turns and ended up in one weed spot with many rough looking guys outside (mostly junkies). When she went to get the stuff, I thought it was a set up cos she took too long to come out and the guys were looking at my car. Then one of the guys approached me and tried to forcefully open the door. I wound down and asked why he was struggling with my door. I later found out he was a junkie that was very hungry. I gave him Gala and he left.
When the girl came out, he grabbed her by the arm and they spoke briefly. The girl later told me the guy used to be her guy, and was doing very well till he got hooked on drugs. We gisted throughout the journey from ikeja to ikotun, and it felt I was gisting with a younger sister at some point. And then when we got to the drop off spot, which happened to be a hotel, the guy she was going to meet came out...and before she dropped, she said in a low voice, "pray for me, this is my first time doing this." The whole encounter was just really weird. Hmm the last lines, I guess it’s her first time and she just got her self into doing HK My little experience with E hailing has also enable me to meet ppl have meaningful conversations across different aspect of life… the struggles , the victories, marriage etc some ppl stories can be motivational I met a man in December picked him from the airport and we just vibed, spoke well on business and his life journey how he ended up in Europe doing petty job,,, listened to a sermon one day that a preacher said God will bless the work of your hands and he translated that as he needed to start something for himself he stopped the job… was looking for money to start doing printing business wanted to buy one single machine to start… he ended up not having the money to buy one… on the journey of looking cheaper alternatives of machines he stumbled on a company that was shutting down they went bankrupt and wanted to sell their machines That was his breakthrough point, the initial price of machine he wanted to buy was about 4k euro + and then he found this company selling for a little above half the price that’s how he had to apply for loan took 15k loan from his bank He said he bought the printing machines with the loaned money sent them to Nigeria and resold them all. made enough profit he paid back the loaned money repeated the process again and again. The interesting part that got me was when the man said he was doing his masters and he said that was his 3rd masters degree and I’m like why is he doing all the studying and why didn’t he further in one discipline like maybe have a PhD and It was my first time of seeing some having 3 masters degree so I asked what was his motivation towards acquiring further masters degree. He said he needs to level up He was not deep into buying and reselling again and the field is not as lucrative to him again I guess So his last degree was masters in nursing as a psychologist. He tipped me 10k at the end of the trip. They are so many Interesting stories honestly, Some days ago I was even thinking of maybe writing a book of my encounter with certain categories of people you get met with different views, you can also learn well from other peoples life stories, view points and perceptions to things etc |

Pearl1910: Guys be careful o
This guy is dead and gone, even if they sentence these three evil demons to death, the Uber guy will not come back to life. If u work at dead of night, don't carry more than 1 person.
As God dey protect us, make we use our head too. No trip should be too juicy for u to risk ur life. Infact its juicy trips that they use to lure a driver. True Mehn seeing that video gave me some flashback trips I did at late night at about 11 pm One of it was to deep into ajah down Addo road to the end (3 ppl 2 huge guys and a lady) The other I picked two guys at ketu bustop dropped them at a club. This two trips left my heart beating all through the ride with varying thoughts At a point I was already calculating that I go beg for my life if anything sup I won’t confront Oga just take anything you want and go I drove so uncomfortable on those trips. Now I either do morning/noon and I round up by 7/8 only taking trip to my home point. If you do night abeg stay alert and as said Pick the trips well, and aim at carrying a single passenger. |

Fujiyama: ^^^ I hope you've run (or you are about to run) those tests with your mechanic.
You seem to have a preference for 0w 20 oil. Was this oil used exclusively by previous owners? I went to see a mechanic this afternoon Before going I explain to him about my situation And I wanted to carry out a compression/leakdwon test as you stated here. I don’t know if this test will be conducted using a machine/mechanical tool. He told me to come that he will check for leakage, I went there he checked and said there was no leakage… Relating to the previous owner I didn’t see a service maintainance note. But I saw stickers on the car indicating the last two services and it both indicated 0w-20

What you first of all need to be sure of is if your engine already had problems - if there are ring (or other) issues, then you will have oil consumption problems no matter which oil you use. Is your engine the 2AZ FE or 2AR FE?? Your technician needs to let you know the state of your engine and find out why it is consuming oil.
As for the oils, I think they are all good lubricants. You can get Motul from Infinity petrol stations and service centres but they are not that many around. You can get Shell Helix Ultra from Enyo petrol stations while Castrol petrol stations sell Magnatec and their other Castrol brands. I bought Aisin, Mobil 1 and Pennzoil from some well known dealers here on this platform. I also bought Liqui Moly from an independent dealer a long time ago. Good day boss, I checked a couple fuel station and service center at Enyo, I check enyo for shell, eterna for castrol, total energy and AP, I noticed non of them had this exact 0w-20 oil available. Which is very surprising to me and leave me a question to think of, because to my knowledge this particular Camry 2007-11 is very common in our society. So I’m thinking is it that most users of this car brand are buying other oil specifications like the 5w-20 and 5w-30. I even happen to be persuaded by some of the sellers at the station saying most ppl that use my car buy what they are selling like the 5w-20. That they barely sell 0w-20. The enyo guy asked me to check island for 0w-20 that’s most what they distribute to mainland is what they sell(I.e what I met there). Also peached me he is a mech engineer and 5w- 20 okay. I’m currently considering to just buy Hardex 1L-2L 0w-20 to top it up because that’s the brand I could easily find right now around. While I dive deeper to know and find a solution to this oil issue. Because I also do e-hailing time to time so I drive quite a lot so I’m being cautious of car performance and retaining longitivtiy. I didn’t want to get influenced by all they said so I decided to do some more reading and research online and here are some finding relating to 0w-20 and 5w-20 I found.

Fujiyama: ^^^ Some toyota engines came from the factory with oil consumption problems - the 2AZ FE is one of them. The rings are some metal parts of the engine that (if they are working properly) prevent 'excessive' oil consumption. The problem is that 'excessive' means different things to different people. Apart from extreme cases where old or faulty engines are literally drinking oil, a lot depends on the engine designer. Some manufacturers (usually German) design some of their cars to consume oil in quantities that may seem 'excessive' in other brands e.g. Toyota.
Having said that, your vehicle is a high mileage vehicle - and high mileage vehicles do tend to consume more oil, because their engines have suffered more wear and tear. The first thing that needs to be done is to get your mechanic to check the vehicle and do compression or leakdown tests (these tests will let you know if something's wrong with the rings and other metal bits). You need to know the state of the engine before focusing on the oil alone. If you engine is badly worn, it will still drink oil heavily - no matter whether it is Hardex, Motul or Aisin oil.
Get the compression/leakdown test results and then we can begin to ask questions such as the viscosity of the Hardex used during your oil change and whether or not to switch brands. Alright sir Thank you so much for this excellent breakdown I will conduct the necessary test with the aid of a mechanic |

I’m relatively new to this |

Fujiyama: Good Day Boss Please I use Camry 2011 I just tried hardex I don’t even know if I got the original or fake but I have driven less than 1500miles, and I notice on my oil gauge that it’s already low. Changed oil at about 261,000. I’m sitting at 262,255 now and oil is low.
Please which of this mentioned list do you suggest I try next since you also use similar vehicle and where can I get it from sir ??
^^^ I use Motul 8100, Shell Helix Ultra, Aisin, Castrol Magnatec and Pennzoil Platinum Ultra at the moment. I have also used Mobil1 and Liqui Moly in the past. |

Good day guys
please I want to ask on oil recommendation for a tokumbo Camry 2011 On the car it’s specified as 0w-20 So I check online for mobil oil 0w-20 and I saw it listed for about 30k
Before now I read here a couple times and have seen post about budgeting 85k for oil change, so I think I should ask this as an open question to know better from experienced car owners on which is best. So I can start with the right oil and keep up with that

PuZZyNegro: My today's net on Bolt and Indrive.
I used 16k fuel. Do the maths sir.
I will send you screenshot of my account balance Nice one champ, keep it going I read here few days ago Someone said he uses a ford 2.0 litre engine with 20k fuel to average 80k, so if you are using Corolla 1.8l to also make about 80,500, which is in similar range from what someone else have said earlier. IMO I think it is very possible, there’s less to doubt about the fuel amount here. |

Good afternoon house, after 1 month of car search and several car inspections. I was able to see a Camry 2004 in very good condition almost like tokunbo standard.
So i want to ask anyone using same car here for uber/bolt can you please give an insight is it a good ride for this business, I’m just looking at the 2.4l engine compared to 1.8l Corolla.
I have only been searching for Corolla the past one month till I found this Camry in almost tokunbo standard condition for 5.7m |

Obedibombedi: You get it. I change tyres every 10,000 miles. I still have extra set of tyres, waiting for the rear tyres to go bad.
I spend 85k for 5w20 synthetic and 10k for Bosch oil filter that will last me 15,000 miles.
I spend with pride on my sedan cos I know what it generates.
My SUV Sits at home year in and out. Only goes out for offline. Yet I dont spend on it like my daily driver sedan. (Mind you, it generated 600k in January alone at zero maintenance).
If you are making over 1M monthly, spending less than 200k on your car shouldn't bulge you. wow nice return, what car do you use if i may ask? engine size year and was it a tokunbo purchase or Nigeria use...i'm curious to also know how often one can replicate such return i reside in lagos. |
