So many Nigerian music acts kicked off their musical journey from the church. I sold my soul to the game just to dine with the devil
I hope i make heaven

Music/Radio / Artistes, Actresses, Actors Would Still Be Irrelevant Without Bloggers by Dremostar(m): 3:03pm On Dec 15, 2016
Bloggers Deserve Respect! Iconic Artistes, Actresses, Actors Should Still Begging For Fame Without Bloggers

Yes, when we talk about the entertainment, music, even the movie industry when i say the movie industry am not referring to the Nollywood industry, damn am referring to every movie industry from the Nollywood to the Hollywood to the Ghallywood to the Bollywood, we know this people are here to entertain us especially in Nigeria. We have iconic musicians, people who are good at what they do, people who keeps the hustle real, people like 2Baba, Don Jazzy, D'banj, Wizkid, Davido and many more to mention. This article can't be completed if we dont mention our giants in the Nollywood movie industry, people like Ini Edo, Gabriel Afolayan, Kunle Afolayan, Ramsey Noah, Jim Iyke and many more we can't mention.

These are great icons and giants of the entertainment industry we can't do without listening to their musics, watching their movies and also following them on twitter and their other social media handles as it follows, but damn i stand on my word to say that these people are more or less unidentified in the society with us the bloggers, without the hip-hop blogs these great people mentioned would still be struggling for fame.

Imagine if a song was released today, no blog to provide the download link, who the hell would know the international market breaker Wizkid, or even the Omo Baba Olowo Davido, or the father of all nations 2Baba. You put your songs on itunes, spotify, tidal and other streaming sites, just for people to stream and buy not thinking of your fans who are rich not to say other wise who really wants to listen to your songs. How do you expect them to the songs if we the hip hop blogs don't provide the download link? Shi!!!!

The hip hop blogs if am right are the most essential part of the entertainment industry, we bloggers can build and destroy anything or anybody just with a 500 words article.

Now imagine someone who buys data, fuel's his electricity generator, who has bills to pay buys your album just to satisfy his site users, then updates the download link, wakes up the next morning to see thank you messages from fans only to see he has been suspended. Is that not wickedness, isn't that absurd.

You keep suspending our sites for blogging your songs not knowing with us notifying the fans your album is coming the won't even think of buying talkless know who Olamide Baddo is or OBO Baddest.

We control the world as a whole, we deserve some respects from every nooks and cranes of the entertainment industry. We always gave you the respects you deserve but I don't think we are receiving half of it back.

We are the main source that tells people from every part of this world that you exist, yes you might look at this, laugh and say 'This Guy Doesn't Know I Have over 2million Followers', but and i can't beat my Chest and say half of those followers were built by the blogs.

So many artistes who has gone cold, who hardly gives their fans something to feed on in the industry today, can only get back on track through us the bloggers, cos for real, someone who has not been relevant in the industry for 5years can't just release something and expect fans to buy.

No one is begging anyone, we are just letting you know we remain the pillar of the industry. Pen's down

Nairaland / General / BREAKING!!! Price Of Rice Crashes As Nigerians Approach The Festive Season by Dremostar(m): 11:21pm On Nov 19, 2016
Nigerians can now heave a sigh of relief after reports confirmed that the price of local rice in the country has crashed in some states across the federation

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quotes the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as saying the agricultural initiative ‘Anchor Borrowers Programme’ which the federal government launched recently, is responsible for the drastic change in prices.

Making this remark on Saturday, November 19 in Imo state was Mrs Nkechi Osuji, the head of CBN’s
development financing department at a sensitisation workshop attended by local
government representatives of small holder farmers, cooperative societies, youths and women groups drawn from the 27 local government areas of Imo.

According to her, a 50kg bag of local rice can now be bought for N13,000 in states where the scheme has been embraced.

She also added that the more the states that join, the cheaper the products in the market.

Sports / Ronaldo Scores Hat-trick As Real Madrid Thrash Atletico Madrid 3-0 In Derby by Dremostar(m): 11:08pm On Nov 19, 2016
Cristiano Ronaldo’s 39th career hat-trick gave Real Madrid a derby win over city rivals Atletico which increased their lead at the top of La Liga.

The Portugal forward opened the scoring with a deflected free-kick which wrong-footed Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Ronaldo added a second from the penalty spot before he completed his treble when he tapped in Gareth Bale’s cross.

Real now have a four-point lead over second- placed Barcelona who were held to a goalless draw by Malaga earlier.

Ronaldo has scored eight La Liga goals for the European champions this season, to draw level with Barcelona duo Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

The 31-year-old’s treble also saw him go one goal of clear of legendary Real forward Alfredo Di Stefano’s individual total of 18 goals in the Madrid derby.

Music/Radio / DMW Artiste Mayorkun Too Overrated For Next Rated Headies Award Nomination by Dremostar(m): 11:33pm On Nov 09, 2016
Late yesterday, the most anticipated or biggest award show in Nigeria as people may say, released the complete list of their nominees, and believe me it was a cool nomination list with the Starboy boss bagging 3 nominations, Adekunle Gold bagging 5 nominations, and Yagi album placed in two nominations.

Looking at the Headies Award, the most controversial nomination award ever since the Headies Award has started is the Next Rated non voting category. This same category caused a beef between two great bosses and legends in the Music industry, talking of Olamide of Ybnl and Don Jazzy of Mavins where Olamide's boy Lil Kesh who is now floating his own record label Y.A.G.I lost to Mavin artiste Reekado Banks last year on this same nomination.

Now back to DMW artiste Mayorkun who was nominated for the Next Rated Award amidst Tekno, Ycee, Falz, Aramide and Mr. Eazi has rocked this year with his hot singles like eleko which had a sum up of 3,744,817 views on youtube, Yawa and Love you tire featuring one of his competitors on the Next Rated Headies Award Mr Eazi.

Checking and rating Mayorkun, we think mayorkun shouldn't be anyway, anyhow nominated for the next rated award. He came into limelight early this year with his eleko single.

He should be nominated for Rookie of the year not Next Rated Artiste, he was nominated with Ycee, Falz, Tekno, Mr Eazi, Aramide, sure this five listed artiste which was nominated alongside Mayorkun are not new to the industry. Ycee released Jagaban 2015 not 2016 not to talk of Ycee and Tekno who was known by the world with his single with Mayorkuns boss Davido which was recorded and released early 2013, April 2013 actually.

In a nutshell, Mayorkun is a great artiste we have been waiting for but this life na level by level, LOL. Mayorkun should be nominated for Rookie Of The Year and next year hopefully clinch Next Rated Artiste if he continues to give us banging tunes, good music like it as always been or even better than that

Celebrities / BEEF ALERT!! Burna Boy Disses Dj Lambo In New Video by Dremostar(m): 1:51pm On Nov 08, 2016
VIDEO: I Don’t Know What The F@$k The DJ Is Doing – Burna Boy Disses DJ Lambo
While at an event over the weekend, afrobeats and reggaeton music sensation, Burna Boy didn’t hesitate to show his irate nature over the perceived clumsiness of the disc jockey who happened to be DJ Lambo on the stand.

This act comes just after the media circus that followed Terry G’s physical assault of a DJ right on stage at an event that had the presence of the revered Jimmy Jatt.

Burna boy’s verbal assault was an utterly careless and yet unnecessary snide remark directed at the DJ, which was even proceeded by a petty gesture of clapping hands to corroborate his ‘turn am to church’ statement.

However, speculations from the video is that he was blightly unaware which DJ was manning the stand at the time hence his cocky outburst. What do you guys think?

Celebrities / Chidinma Not Signed To Flavours Music Group As She Unveils New Label by Dremostar(m): 2:42pm On Nov 07, 2016
Singer, Chidinma, has got the internet buzzing today, not because, she has finally decided on giving her fans new music, but because of her ‘no picture’ zone kinda mood.

Earlier in the day, the ‘Emi Ni Baller’ crooner, announced that she will be dropping a new song titled ‘Fallen In Love’ which is dropped.

She did this, deleting every photo on her Instagram account excepts ones she and fellow singer, Flavour, struck a pose together.

However, a few minutes ago, it was discovered that she has again taken down those photos, leaving only the ones, only her posed and in the process revealing that she is not signed to Flavour’s label, as earlier speculated.

She instead, unveiled her new label known as , ’40FIED Music Company.’

Something untop wanne nwatago

[Bridge]
Oh oh oh, who do this thing whe dey make dem say
Oh oh oh, who give dem something whe dey make dem say
