let RED=R WHITE=W BLUE=B Pr(WR)= PROBABILITY OF PICKING RED AND WHITE WITH REPLACEMENT= R/(W+R+B)*W/(W+R+B) Pr(b)= B/(W+R+B), NOW BRINGING THE TWO EQUATIONS TOGETHER RW/(W+R+B)2=B/(W+R+B) BY CANCELLING OUT WE HAVE RW=B(W+R+B) WE CAN RECALL THEY ARE ALL MULTIPLES OF 3 THEN, W=3M R=3N B=3O NOW KNOWING THAT ALL THE 3'S WILL CANCEL OUT, MN=O(M+N+O) FOR A MEANINGFUL EQUATION O WILL HAVE A MINIMUM VALUE 1 THEREFORE MN= M+N+1 REMEMBERING THE RULES OF ALGEBRA M+N+1= (M+1)(N+1)-MN NOW REPLACING IT HM THE EQUATION WE HAVE 2MN= (M+1)(N+1) WE CAN SEE THAT THE MINIMUN VALUES OF M AND N ARE 2 AND 3 AND SO WE HAVE W=3M=9 R=3N=6 B=3O=3 THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF TOKENS ARE = 9+6+3 = 18 tokens sorry 4 my former ans.

Shollypopz: I need someone to solve this, I don't think I'm right.

Problem: A jar is filled with red, white and blue tokens that are equivalent except for their color. The chance of randomly selecting a red token, replacing it, then randomly selecting a white token is the same as the chance of randomly selecting a blue token. If the number of tokens of every color is a multiple of 3, what is the smallest possible total number of tokens in the jar?

a.)9 (b.)12 (c.)15 (d.)18 (e.)21
let RED=R WHITE=W BLUE=B Pr(WR)= PROBABILITY OF PICKING RED AND WHITE WITH REPLACEMENT= R/(W+R+B)*W/(W+R+B) Pr(b)= B/(W+R+B), NOW BRINGING THE TWO EQUATIONS TOGETHER RW/(W+R+B)2=B/(W+R+B) BY CANCELLING OUT WE HAVE RW=B(W+R+B) WE CAN RECALL THEY ARE ALL MULTIPLES OF 3 THEN, W=3M R=3N B=3O NOW KNOWING THAT ALL THE 3'S WILL CANCEL OUT, MN=O(M+N+O) FOR A MEANINGFUL EQUATION O WILL HAVE A MINIMUM VALUE 1 THEREFORE MN = M+N+1 REMEMBERING THE RULES OF ALGEBRA M+N+1= (M+1)(N+1)-MN REPLACING IT THE EQUATION, WE HAVE 2MN=(M+1)(N+1) WE CAN SEE THAT THE MINIMUM VALUES OF M AND N FALL TO THE VALUE 2 SINCE 8 IS CLOSER TO 9 AND WE NEEM WHOLE NUMS. SO OUR VALUES ARE.W=3M=6 R=3N=6 B=30=3. SO THE MINIMUM VALUE FOR THE TOTAL TOKENS= 6+6+3 = 15

2^2(k+1)-3(k+1)-1=2^2k.2^2-3k-3-1
=2^2k-3k-1+3(2^2k-1)
=9m+9/3(2^2k-1),frm (*) above then,
=9[m+1/3(2^2k-1)] ans. Fedpoado putme last yr:
Ortarico: Well boss, our workings are almost the same. Here's the solution the dude gave me in some pages back:
this guys solution is to complex, and this question requires basic mathematics just as i have shown, see the reason i don't like people using advanced mathematics where unnecessary , that is why you will see that most of my solutions are only in a lay mans format.
Thank you

Ortarico: Wow, not surprised and no doubts boss!
Please can you help me look into this boss, cause i'm yet to understand it's solution well:
Divide 22n - 3n - 1 by 9. . . . . . .thanks!
The question is the same as (4n-3n-1)/9 all the variables are divisible by 9 except 4n because they are not in equal base, so to put them in equal base we ask that 3x = 4 by logarithm we know that xlog3 =log4, x=log4/log3 3(log4/log3)=4 now that we have a common base, the answer now becomes, since log4/log3=1.26 so(31.26n-3n-1)/32= 31.26n-2-1/3 - 1/9
