[quote author=Benevento post=89926015]The pictures below are slums In Enugu.

[Firstly, Nairobi is more Developed than our Lagos but Nairobi has the biggest slum in the world.

Ibadan alone should be bigger than your Anambra, how do you expect the whole city to change?

Nonetheless, there are slums in Lagos, Enugu, Ibadan, Port Harcourt.

Nairobi has the biggest slum in Africa does that mean your poverty stricken Enugu is more developed than Ibadan?
[quote]Trust me, if Ibadan were to be in the south east, we would have torn it down no matter how large and rebuild it with these Owerri and Enugu type mansions, not by making mouth.

We don't do Yemi Kale here, we shake the world here!

I believe you are educated and well travelled and you sabi history.... the question is;

I notice that igbo always avoid this question. pls I need any igbo to counter this, where were the igbo ancestors living then when Ibadan were building the brown roof and living in it?? I need a clear and direct answer to this..

Next question coming up..
Cc.

Sammy07
The Igbos built countless slum cities in Enugu, Owerri, Aba, Awka, Onitsha, Abakaliki and Nsukka just like the Ibadan people did.

The only difference was that while Enugu and other Igbo cities were demolishing and renovating all old buildings, Ibadan stood still grin

if you go to most of the places Igbos had old structures, they are being replaced daily, sons tearing down his parents house to replace it with a new one. Or just change the roof, windows and repaint the house.

To be fair to Ibadan, it might not be poverty that made them to freeze and remain with brown roofs, maybe someone didn't tell them that a city needs to recreate itself to look modern.

Hope you understand?

Honestly SW is always hyped. Lots of propaganda with nothing to show. In 30 or 40years time, you will be told that Tinubu and SW States were the best from 1999. You will hear that Fashola performed more than the whole country put together. They will also tell you that Ambode built Lagos and that SW was ahead of other states and regions in Nigeria from 1999 to 2020. But no one will tell you that Sam Egwu of Ebonyi state practically developed villages and it's people into a city and state. They will not mention Chimaroke Nnamani who developed a new parallel capital Nkanu. They would v forgotten that Fashola was never a match to Peter Obi of Anambra state, or that Obiano was better than Ambode, or that Sullivan Chime transformed Enugu into a modern state. SW Governors are media governors. What has Fayemi done? What about Akeredolu, or Rauf? South East and South South will always probe their own any day any time but others will not rather they prefer tiwan, tiwan.
What really impoverishes the south west is the hype they continue to hype their people on empty stomach, fela called it suffering and smiling grin

Igbo states are so much competent than they can survive without Nigeria, and everyone is fighting to stop them from leaving.

Igbos has the best human resources quality in the whole of Africa.
