Sunshineg5: Ok Ibadan is still the third most populated city today according to 2006 Population census
University of ibadan still remains one of the best in the country
Ibadan is still home to a very diverse group and one of the largest concentration of industries in Nigeria.
Even the Sky scrapper Awolowo built in 1965 still remains the tallest building in Nigeria outside Lagos and Abuja.
Need I go on! Ibadan skyscraper of 1965 is a historical feat that was never repeated in Ibadan or maintained. Ibadan is all about History. Enugu is current and future. Rome and Dubai.

Yakubu Gowon married in Ibadan
First university in Nigeria
Even Ngozi Iwela had her secondary school in ibadan
Need I go on
Historically ibadan is not even mate with Anambra. History is all ibadan got. That's why someone said it can best be likened to Rome. Enugu got present and future, that's why someone likened it to Singapore or Dubai. |

wirinet: Although at first glance it sounds like a brilliant proposal, but on close introspection it's not a good idea. The main reason being that of scale. It's very difficult comparing two entities with very different scales. It's like comparing a river and an ocean and asking which one has the bigger, smaller, finer or numerous fishes.
Let me explain further. The total landmass of the 5 eastern states is approximately 30,000 square kms while the total landmass of the south west is approximately 80,000 square kms. The south west is more than 2 and a half times bigger than the south east. Obviously the south west will have more developed areas than the south east, at the same time it will have also more undeveloped areas and slums. There would more roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, stadiums, etc., simply because of size alone. If we are talking about more modern structures, the south east capitals should have a lot (i still doubted the number would be more than that of south west), simply because most of the cities of the East were destroyed in the aftermath of the civil war and most structures had to be rebuild (the Nigerian state failed woefully to rebuild the infrastructure). Most of the houses were build after the civil war and thus more modern. In the south west you will find lots of colonial and even pre colonial structures still standing. Lots of its capital still have the colonial look and feel. It's like comparing an ancient city Rome to modern cities like Singapore or Dubai. Rome and Dubai. I rest my case. |

Ibadan 1 - Enugu 0

How did Enugu beat Ibadan in terms of stadium?

Enugu of all places with 58% poverty rate, don't you think you're stupid?
The population of your Igbos outside the igboland should be up to those inside, poverty I'd driving people away from igboland.
Igboland is unproductive, let's clean up the poverty in Enugu first before we embark on media tour,,, naso we jobless reach.
SW is on the league of it's own.

Benevento: See this one ooo, what a big fool you are.
The airport in Airport has been grounded while the whole in Ibadan is still working. What's the need for an International Airport in Ibadan when you have one in nearby Lagos... The Airport in Enugu has been grounded.
The Stadium in Ibadan is bigger than the one in Enugu.
We are talking about modern rails not all these pangolo rails that are not waking.
Lagos-ibadan road is the busiest road in Nigeria..... I don't know about the bullshit roads you posted.
What a knuckle head. So, airport being renovated means Enugu has no airport? Enugu rail lines are still working the super highways are still there and being used What sort of people are these? Must you argue when you are losing? |
