Rice's foul on Rogers was a normal foul that happens in the run of play. All eyes was on Palmer who had the ball and ended playing the ball over the bar. There's no world in which VAR will call the ref to check such random foul that had no element of serious foul play.

The ref did the right thing to break Rice and Rogers' scuffle up. Rogers only got yellow card for starting a fight off the ball. That decision is the correct one every day of the year for anybody wey dey watch ball and understand the rules of the game dem dey watch. You don't go about pushing another player on the chest off the ball like Rogers did and expect the ref to overlook it. It was a deserved yellow card.
