Fall 2012 Prospective Applicants, Identify yourself oo!!

guys ! I check my wes status and it has change to evaluation in progress. I guess my skool have gotten my document n they hav replied them. Am very happy after waiting 4 3 mnth. Ojap i believe nw that jut the scan copy of my statement of result is all i need to send to u now. Or do i need any oda tin? My email addys is akinwolekay@gmail.com thank everybody for ur advice


I pray it doesn't change back because it happened during my processing. I was mad seeing it change back to ''waiting for verification'' after the weekend.

I hope it doesn't too. Its like this WES evaluation requires fasting and prayers.lol

Yea am happy for you. Mine still says 'waiting for verification' its jus a couple of weeks tho, am hoping it gets completed l8st end of march

kaycome, wes verifies transcripts by sending it back to the issuing institution. They do this thru regular mail which takes btw 6-8 weeks to get to nigeria, and another 1 week to get to your school depending on how far it is within nigeria. getting it promptly treated n replied by your school is another kettle of fish. you have to have a contact in d transcript office of your school who can help u wit dis. also wes can't evaluate if you dont have your degree cert.

@ supzyy, 6 - 8 weeks!!!! Approx 11/2 to 2 months oo! Dont think it takes that long for regular mails sent from the U.S to get to Nigeria.

@ phy did you get your transcripts evaluated by WES? If you did how long dod it take to get completed. I heard it takes approximately 2 months.

@supzyy so yu see from imperiouxx's evaluation if you had @ least a 2/2 i think you should make it.

Well its also not a bad idea to look for alternatives. At least to keep your options open, just do a lot of research you should find a school that fits what you want,

Whats your status on WES now? If it says waiting for verification of documents then its probably your school that is delaying. You may make up to 3.0/4.0 just be optimistic

Well i think you should just keep checking the schools and their required applications. But from my observations i think larger schools may have evaluation offices within the school but smaller ones tend to ask for external evaluation.By the way when did you send your application to WES, we are on the same boat here cos I jus did mine. A friend of mine that did his said it took approx 8 weeks. But i guess most times delays are because Nigerian schools dont reply to verification of documents quick enough.

This a kinda funny. I thought while applying for studies in the US you are required to submit a financial disclosure form also a copy of a sponsor's bank statement showin evidence that you can afford education in the US. If any of you guyz had genuine sponsors why will finance suddenly become such a serious issue.
