The moment Nigerians truly understand how the instrumentality of government works, they will know who to hold accountable. Today, governors receive almost three times what they used to, yet they collectively fight against direct allocation of FG funds to Local Governments, while not paying minimum wage!!!!. Still, the noise everywhere is “Tinubu” or “Tinubu,” while governors quietly smile to the bank.
It is high time Nigerians wise up and demand accountability from the states. Imagine if Tinubu had removed subsidies but refused to distribute the funds to states—these same governors would have been the loudest voices crying foul.
