Your HDD, RAM, battery ,screen will still be working, the problem here is the motherboard, you said smoke came out,let just hope an important chip/IC is not burnt completely to damage the track on the laptop motherboard.

The worse case scenario here if it can't be repaired is replacing the motherboard.

Okay Sir. Thank you Sir

I have a system that water mistakenly poured on it. I powered it on and it brought out smoke afterwards. Any remedy?

Good afternoon Engineers in the house. Please my cousins baby accidentally poured water on his system. He left it and the next day decided to power it. He inserted the charger and immediately he switched it on, the system started bringing out smoke in which he quickly removed the charger and battery. Now the system won’t come on. Is there any thing that can be done to bring the system back to life? Would the Hard Drive still be functioning likewise the ram and some other parts as he intends selling it scrap if there won’t be any remedy? Thanks in advance

Come on in
