Brightest Light: If he truly said this,then he should know that all his points have already been addressed.Writings of early christians(e.g Ignatius of Antioch,a follower of John the apostle) clearly stated their firm belief that the Eucharist is Christ's true Body and Blood(go figure).Catholics believe in heaven and hell.Purgatory is not a place where a soul will stay permanently;you will either go to heaven or hell.Purgatory is place where souls who dont deserve hell,nor are spotless to go to heaven go for purgation(purification)-God's mercy at work.The scripture says that nothing unclean shall enter heaven and also that not every sin can take you to hell.So the soul in that state of grace can be purified or purged of its sins before it can enter heaven.The early christian believed this(go figure).
BUT why am I even writing this?People will believe what they want to believe,even if contrary evidences were written on a banner and waved in their faces.
