Lefty500: Morning guys, my cousin got an unconditional offer for MRes Clinical Research at Tesside University.
I have read here that some Mres courses don't allow dependant still. So, I called the school to confirm if the MRes course would allow dependant, but the lady that spoke to me said no (she sounded unsure).
I asked her to give me list of their courses that allow dependants, and she listed PhD and DBA courses only, no Mres.
I would like to know if anyone also applied to the school (not necessarily the same course) or if there's any MRes program someone with a Biomedical degree can do in any school that allows dependants.
Thanks. Yes I know an Mres program with that someone who has a biomedical degree can do and the good thing is that it’s quite cheap You also qualify for a scholarship of 3500 of given the offer |

GeeKlasic: How’s schooling there? Student jobs? Post study among others? And what are the cons also?
Thanks for the response sir/ma The only thing i can assure you is the cost of living but in terms of jobs availability, International students can work part-time during term time, with a limit of 20 hours per week. |

dimejalex: I didn’t know about that I guess it’s not true are you going to Bolton for September intake too? There is an update regarding the payment structure for the Master of Research (MRes) program at the University of Bolton, effective from the September 2025 intake. New Tuition Fee Collection Scheme: Deposit: £5,000 (payable in advance) Payment at Enrolment: £5,000 Balance Payment: The remaining balance, after any applicable scholarship deductions, can be paid either in full or in six equal monthly instalments through a recurring card payment arrangement. This new scheme is designed to offer greater flexibility to students while maintaining compliance with the University’s financial policies. We encourage all applicants to familiarize themselves with this updated payment schedule and ensure compliance to avoid any disruptions in the enrolment process. |

Pleat: I HAVE 54M AT THE MOMENT THAT I OWN AND I CAN EASLY WORK TOWARDS THE REMAINING BUT I HAVE BEEN RELUNCTANT TO EVEN DO ANYTHING AFTER THE NEW POLICIES
INFACT I AM NOT SURE IF I WILL BE PROCEEDING WITH THE PLANS I understand the shock that comes with the new policies and everything…but I want you to know this “everything you’re looking for is at the other side of fear” If you’re courageous and you believe in yourself, you will definitely scale through… Amidst the policies are still opportunities,it’s left for you to see the good in your journey…whether you take the risk or not, life will still go on but one thing is assured, the system will not give you the same opportunity it gave you this year next year People who procrastinated about traveling last year are regretting this year for one reason or the other and you never can tell what next year holds so be strong and take a step…I hope this helps |

samintegrity: Thanks bro Good morning, was able to get across to the school Nigeria representative.
He advised we wait till after Pre CAS before making payment. In his words, the school has just concluded means for their interview and would begin to roll them out in two weeks time.
So I asked him specifically, if I should go ahead to make payment. He said he would advise we wait till after the interview.
Thanks again bro. Alright bro, you’re welcome |

samintegrity: Bro, thanks for your reply We applied also for May intake but was deferred to sept intake.
While we had conditional offer all along, it didn't even crossed my mind to make payment at all cos at some point they kept requesting for Another personal statement upon another.
It was until April 28th that they finally sent my unconditional offer, so for now we are waiting for pre CAS interview.
Why I asked was because, upon checking my application status tab via e-vision, I saw that we are to pay the deposit now.
So am just kinda confused. Will attach it now. If you’ve gotten your unconditional offer letter, you have to make your deposit immediately because it’s very important as unconditional letter means your slot has been kept so failure to pay deposit now is a risk I won’t advise you to take…please go ahead and make your deposit immediately so as to be on a safe side… |

Kaykaychizzy: Thank you for the response. I was actually thinking Roehampton cost of living would be high but since it's cheaper and has good/favourable payment plan, I'll go for it. You’re welcome and good luck |

Kaykaychizzy: Good day everyone. Please I would appreciate some input on this; Between Univeristy of Roehampton and UWE Bristol, which would you advise I go for? Considering the cost of living and tuition deposit for both. Based on experience I would advise you to go for roehampton because it’s cheaper in terms of deposit and the payment plan is very ok |

eagshay94: Please I want to ask
Can I use my sponsor's account as a POF. My brother whom we share the same surname is my sponsor. Or is it a must the money is in my personal account? You can use your sponsors account as long as it bears the same surname…you can go ahead and use your sponsors account. Oh I’m just seeing your brother now, probably didn’t read it well…you can transfer the funds to your own account as long you’re 18 and above and then use your account but you can’t use your brothers account, only your parents or a joint account stating your guardian/sponsor,I hope this helps |

samintegrity: Biko, could you help with this question?
Is it advisable to pay tuition deposit once received unconditional offer or wait till after Pre CAS interview?
University of Wolverhampton thou, that sch seems to have received an overwhelming application, hence my fear.
We just got unconditional offer late April for September intake, meanwhile we applied for May intake but was deferred to sept.
and have mailed them like 3 times to schedule pre CAS interview but they said we should wait as they were working on doing that this month
My fear is, time dey go bro And I heard some people had even made deposit while still on conditional offer oo
Any possibility for sept intake? Or make we just zero mind and put trust for January?
To make matters worse, their Nigeria Representative is not even responding to calls, chat or mail.
The guys sef too dull for my liking My advise is that you explore other options because the que for Wolverhampton is quite long just so you are not dissapointed in the end.one of my students is currently waiting for unconditional letter after paying deposit since February and was later deferred to sept and till now no unconditional offer letter so I had to make other arrangements so he won’t be disappointed in the end… |
