Muslimity: @MarksmanD and other well wishers,
I am happy to share the good news that my PPR letter landed early this morning.
I submitted all the requested additional documents with a truthful LOE to IRCC, and the caring Lord answered my prayer. Alhamdulillah, all glory to Him.
I will be back soon with lessons learned. Thank you all and I wish the hopefuls the best of luck.
Please advise on the most effective and fast option for submitting my passport for stamping. Congratulations! Wonderful news. |

Afolavid: Go ahead and submit your PR application. As you said, your 3 years of uncompleted education counts for something. I can guarantee you your PR application will be approved automatically. And don't worry about the previous issues you had with the immigration officers in Canada, they escorted you to Nigeria based on the V.I.P that you are. I've told you the sweet lies others refused to tell you. All the best!!! I know you are trying to be patronizing but I have a clear view of what my situation is. That said, thanks for your "feedback"... I shall see. |

Maria96: you were escorted back to Nigeria by 3 officers. You must think we are kids here if you want us to believe you didn’t do something serious. Continue with your delulu. Imagine counting education you never finished for CRS scores. Naso You do sound quite bitter. Believe what you want. Your opinion and info are false and non factors in my decision moving forward. Counting education: I have a HND and was in my Third year in Canada - that counts for something. I was escorted as per protocol (found this out from my interactions with the officials). |

Maria96: the only way you can enter Canada back is via marriage. You didn’t complete your studies so no points for canada study, your so called work experiences while being a student doesn’t count as work experience/ summer jobs. You know the truth ( your moniker is Dtruth) but you want others to validate you delusions. No no no no You sound bitter. You are wrong and your info is false. There are several ways to reenter Canada. No to you as well, ma'am. |

vickyehi: Your application profile is as good as you never stepped a foot into Canada. You are NOT CEC category as you did not graduate and neither did you work with a work permit. So you would receive ZERO points for Canadian experience and education.
At least you actually went to school in Nigeria so you can access you nd and HND then use that for express entry.
You having lived in Canada for 7.5 years sadly has no bearing to your PR points. It quite sad that you couldn’t make it work in 7.5 years. Personally I feel and I know I achieved a lot while there and that experience will always remain with me. Regarding work experience, I still believe parts of that must be eligible. I guess I'll just ask a consultant directly. Thanks for your feedback. |

MrNovo: Just two concerns: 1. After 7.5 years in a Country and you couldn't stabilise, what would you do differently if you where allowed in again via the same route you used earlier. So am thinking ONLY a PR upon arrival route should suit you. 2. Staying illegally even for one hour in a Country after visa expiration is enough to get subsequent denial except for some peculiar situations but you additionally making recourse to public funds to obtain your air ticket (and three official excorts) is worse than a red flag. If your passport expires while still having a valid visa, you can obtain a travel certificate and BUY your own ticket to come back and renew the passport. **You obviously can't get any visa from Canadian embassy. Yes you might someday enter Canada if you legally obtain the passport of a country that is visa free to Canada. **No one should over stay their visa. If you do continue to hide there because the day you leave is most likely your last except you already acquired a deep pocket to activate second passport Fake news, Mr, Oghenenovo. Please keep your pessimism and fear mongering to yourself. |

Zihno: You were deported. Immigration officers “escorted” you into a flight IRCC/CBSA paid for. That’s not voluntary exit and there’s not partial about that.
When filling any immigration forms especially those that has to do with the US, the answer to if you’ve been deported is yes. They already know. Answering any other way will lead to a permanent ban. Like I mentioned earlier, I know what my interactions with the officials was like and I understand what they explained to me as well as the circumstances surrounding the return. I do not believe you but thanks for your input. |

Predator188: Sounds like a removal order was enforced reason why detained and escorted by officials. Since your passport was expired IRCC will not issue you a visitor's visa passed the expiry of your passport, meaning you have no valid status to remain in Canada.. And CBSA paid for your return, that doesn't sound well..now you have to pay that money back before you return to Canada,so officially you are owing CBSA. And you may be required to obtain authorisation to return to canada 🇨🇦 if you plan to return to canada in the future.
Note:Your information may be shared with five eyes countries on the list. Canada, Australia, New Zealand ,United kingdom and the United States of America. Doesn't sound probable to owe CBSA. I had a decent interaction with the officials I spoke with and nothing of the sort was mentioned. I do not believe your theory is accurate. Thanks |

Leyemoshood: Did you return on your own or you were deported?
What was the reason for denial on your work permit?
The answers to these 2 questions will determine your PR case with IRCC. I was partially returned because I made the report personally. My passport had expired and I had no way of returning. IRCC took it from there, they didn't give me a removal order or any documents but I was detained and then a travel document and flight ticket was brought for my trip. I was accompanied by 3 officials all the way to Nigeria. I was not on a work permit. I was on a study permit which I switched to a visitor's visa - probably why the situation didn't escalate to a deportation. |

stevolinkon40: You had a managerial position for just 4-5 month during summer breaks?
Anyways for you to be able to claim point for Canadian study Will your school be able to release your transcript since you didn't complete your study/ paid the tuition balance?
Will you be able to get a reference letter from the place you claimed to have worked for those months in a teer 1 job? Yes, I was very grateful for the opportunity... got managerial jobs several summers throughout the course of my stay and study in Canada and yes, I can get reference letters from them. I'm unsure about being able to get my transcript since the school has said it will not furnish any docs until payment has been made in full. However, I could try to discuss options with them like promising a part payment and see how they respond. |

Predator188: No credit score is not a factor... Aside from study permit not eligible.. You need experience in teer 0 1 2 3 occupations to be eligible how do you prove that .. I was not a full time student during those summers and the jobs I had were in management - That is tier 1, Sir. |

Predator188: So what the point if experience with study permit is nil... And didn't finished studies in the second place . Owing university too.. I hope it won't affect the credit score in future.. The work was during the summer. There's 4-5 months of fulltime work each year. Is credit a factor calculated towards the CRS score? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by DTruth10: 8:54pm On Aug 06, 2024 |
Predator188: No mehn ..You are following CEC eligibility not immigration law... Your work experience during studies or with study permit does not count in Canadian experience class...
warning Follow the immigration law below..or they refer to paragraphs and refuse your applications .. Or implicate your overtime work if available
https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/page-13.html?wbdisable=false I was referring to summer work. I was not taking classes during the summer but worked full-time - It is allowed |

CornOak: Your story sounds sketchy and unclear with plenty missing details.
1. Did you eventually complete your studies at the university? If yes, were you issued a certificate/diploma of completion? Can you get your transcript from the school? My story was clear enough. I didn't complete my studies. I was in my 3rd year when I transitioned to a visitor's visa and I was not issued any diplomas. Getting transcripts is a possibility but one I'd like to step away from for the time being as I have a balance owing 2. You mentioned that you had 4 years Canadian experience, when was this experience obtained – during or after studies? Note that you can't claim work experience in Canada as a student and you mentioned that you work permit was delayed. My work experience was during my studies. Says here that a student can gain work experience during https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/canadian-experience-class.htmlAlready looked it up. 3. Were you returned to Nigeria by IRCC or you voluntarily left Canada after your visitor's visa expiry with no issue of ban? Yes, I was returned to Nigeria by the IRCC. I spoke to IRCC about my expired passport and they made a "staunch recommendation" for me to leave the country... even got me a travel document to make the trip. There was no issue of a ban. Whatever you claim must be solidly backed up with clear evidences and documents. So I'd advice you add more details others can guide you accordingly. How do I do this? I have proof only of my interactions with IRCC and I trusted that they kept information of that as well |

makeita1k: Hello house. I have a question regarding my nysc work experience reference letter. It states “I was paid 33k by the federal government and also paid a salary by the organization”
Will this raise any flags? Of course I performed the job duties stated in the reference letter, and also have payslips. Does mentioning “federal government” cause further background checks, I’m trying as much as possible to provide a complete application, in order not to receive additional documents requests.
I look forward to your beautiful feedbacks! I doubt it will. If anything, that is a net positive |

I believe every situation is unique let me share my unique experience in the hopes that I get feedback and insight from the gurus in the house.
I am a HND holder who went to Canada in 2016 to pursue a degree in politics. The degree took longer because I had a situation called a status restoration that took almost 2 years off. I eventually had the issue restored and did 3 years worth of studies before deciding to make a program switch to psychology, I decided also to take a break from school to properly consider my options.
Around this time I received information from my student advisor about an opportunity that would allow me to transition to a work permit. I decided to take the offer but it would require me to switch to visitor status before applying for the work permit. Unfortunately the visitor visa application was approved but the work permit app was refused.
Around this time too, my passport was about to expire (I held off renewing because I was waiting for the apps). Mind you, I was fully supporting myself since I could not work. I was unable to renew the passport at the high commission in Ottawa because they were experiencing processing issues. My passport expired and IRCC recommended returning back to Nigeria and since I had a family emergency too at that time I accepted.
I was returned to Nigeria subsequently after 7 1/2 years in canada and I came back with 4 years worth of work experience (by my estimation) and 3 years of studies in a Canadian university. I tried the CRS calculator and it registered 538
Please what are my chances applying for PR. Please drop any feedback and suggestions |
