There are several competitions around, but I haven't seen anyone that has tried what I'm working on right now, but maybe you can check out Elna Cain.

I will like a 2d letter logo.

Usually, I advertise myself by stating, "I am a Freelancer. Talk to Me!"

I've used green and red colours in the past, but new options are welcome.

To describe my business in word I'll like to say, "Magical". This is because I put in my best to offer clients a memorable service that will transform their businesses in no time.

Yes I understand that why you want the bulb to glow, but I can assure you that, that is excessive details, a good logo must be compact, so that it can be easily transferred on any medium what so ever, Ie, you want to make an app icon with your logo, and you have to make to logo so small, you see it becomes troublesome. I will send them to you in a zip format by tomorrow morning, that is the png, jpg, ai and EPS (incase you have correl draw or inkscape ).

exercise patience, quality takes time. Maybe in a week. Some professional design houses can spend weeks or even months to design a logo, you can read up on FedEx logo and get more information.
