CareerEasy Web Advertising by dumont(op):
This topic is the result of a few months of research, trial and error and, finally, successful
results of me trying out web advertising. I am going to mention what methods I've tried and
what you should avoid when getting involved in ads.

To cut things short I have an online store that sells clothing and various accesories. I have
started with:

The steps are pretty straight forwards. After following them I had to wait for almost two months in
order to get the confirmation (you have to receive a few documents, manually sign them and then
submit them back for processing).

After everything was ready, the gain was not substantial. Traffic increased but not by a significant
amount (almost at the limit with what I was paying to google).
Next, I added new categories of different projects and even went as far as changing the content
management system of the site (settled for a wp plugin because it was easy to use and cheap).

The story was roughly the same with the exception that I managed to get started fairly quickly.
But I was still making very little over what was needed to keep the store and the site going. Just
for kicks I went for:

While cheaper than the previous the customer reach was very poor, almost as after the site's
launch. At this point I have spent over 1400$ on all ad networks (most of that was on google ads.

The issue was not the web platform nor the products but the low coverage of the customer base.

The solution in my case turned out to be in advertising through mail. Buying addresses and
sending ads by mail turned out cheaper and more profitable in the long run mainly because unlike
ad networks which interrupt their service after a given period of time (most subscriptions are
between one and six months) while with mail, advertising can be done at any time.

I am also willing to sell some of the addresses (these addresses are private).
